And I can't remember the source, but IIRC Apple said that updates didn't count toward the "1 billion apps downloaded" Though, if you do the math, there have been something like 40 million devices sold running iPhone OS. That'd put the apps downloaded per device somewhere near 25, which sounds a little bit high.
You can buy 'The Downward Fucking Spiral' on iTunes," he continued, "but you can't allow an iPhone app that may have a song with a bad word somewhere in it... Hey Apple, I just got some spam about fucking hot Asian teens through your e-mail program. I just saw two guys having explicit anal sex right there in Safari! On my iPhone! Come on Apple, think your policies through and for fuck's sake get your app approval scenario together.
I'd also like to point out all the urine/feces/flatulence-themed apps on the app store.

Even if it's Bill... it's...
Still not "news for nerds" or "stuff that matters"? How is this relevant? Especially since Bill Gates is semi-retired.
Except if he is actually stupid enough to run, I'm pretty sure someone will point out his past to his opponent. And it's not like a quick Google search won't find any dirt.
Well, I mean X/the kernel has been mostly stable, with a couple issues related to resuming from hibernation. PulseAudio's still a bit stability-challenged, though.
If I had to guess, the special purpose of the email address you're recieving spam at is in the WHOIS contact info of a domain you own. 1) Scrape WHOIS database 2) ??? 3) SPAM!!!
Strangely, there's a completely enclosed fixture in the kitchen here. I moved here in June 2006 and went through 4 incandescent bulbs (2 sets of 2) in about 3 months. I then replaced the bulbs with CFLs, and the bulbs still work, over 2 years later.
I think the wiring in this building is horrible, though.
I bet he thinks Clinton was commander-in-chief on 9/11, too. Don't laugh. I've heard it said on "conservative" talk radio.
To be fair, Clinton does deserve blame for some of what led to 9/11, even though he wasn't in office on 9/11. Then again, the blame goes at least as far back as Reagan giving Osama weapons to fight the Soviets with.
But how many of those are actually standard enough to be readable in a computer with a standard DVD or BluRay drive?
DISCLAIMER: NOT A LAWYER
Though it's not 100% clear Microsoft's license is enforceable in that or any other way.

Except XFCE is GTK+ based, so you get those libraries loaded whether you run GTK apps or not.

Except Windows 8 would then be subject to the antitrust judgement since it was released before May 2011.

My G45-based system's not too bad. There are some weird graphical glitches, but it's been stable ever since alpha 6 or so.
Sure.
The more important question is "Can Tenenbaum appeal and win?"
Except the courts have been known to rule that that sort of "licensed but not sold" transaction is actually a sale.
To be fair, not the entire state is flat and boring. South of I70 or so, it's not *that* flat and there are actually trees, rivers, and lakes.
Heck, Debian Etch was released in April 2007 and doesn't easily run Firefox 3.0
I'll take your distro from 2003 or 2004 and raise you a Ubuntu Dapper Drake (released June 2006).
Technically, it's still supported for another couple months on the desktop and another couple years on the server.

While fiberoptic cables aren't copper, it's still possible.
People who steal copper don't seem to be intelligent enough to make that distinction.

Actually, Apple said there'd be 10 times as many $0.69 songs as $1.29 songs.
What about a song that's 57:56?
Seriously, though, for a track of reasonable quality and extraordinary length, a price above $0.69 could be justified.
Linux?

Note the cars on the lake.
Hell, do they even have the capability to manufacture a nuclear warhead?
Game Boy and Game Boy Color == bastardized Z80.
DS/GBA have ARM chips.
As well as most mp3 players.
