    Oh, don't think Apple doesn't have fragmentation as well. There are four screen sizes of iPhones, one iPod Touch size, four screen sizes (Retina/non-Retina) of iPads, with each having different features.

    that's not fragmentation, that's a variety of devices and models...

    fragmentation when we speak of Android is referring to the OS

    all of the devices you named from the last 4 years can run the same, and latest, version of iOS

    my iPhone 4s runs iOS 8.3

  11. Not the local daycare, not the local gas station, not the local convenience store, not the local restaurant, not the local veterinarian.

    I would argue that in tourist towns, a web presence is a very important asset for all those you mention, with the possible exception of a local vet, until your on vacation with your dog and you need a 24hr vet.

    I live in Honolulu so yes its a tourist town

    a 927 sq ft apartment in Honolulu, 837 sq ft inside, 90 sq ft lanai (balcony) can run you around $550k and up, depending how far up in the building you are.

    I remember it well...my father worked for Univac at the time. He bought one of the first 100 TRS-80s off the line.

    Of course he opened it up and our motherboard had hand soldered wires to replace incorrect traces on the board.

    That winter, we lived in Tennessee at the time, we got so much snow that from Christmas to the end of January we had 3 school days.

    What I remember most was the "Learning Basic" book, with the TRS-80 with legs talking to you from the margins.....

    good times....good time....
