Perhaps it is a good thing, then, that there is some technical barrier required in order to use something. If you want it that bad, maybe you should work for it.
In the case of bandwidth, you aren't purchasing anything, except maybe the modem. You're purchasing a service, and access to the company's network and support resources.
Now, if you bought the fiber and servers, maybe you'd have half of an argument there.
This merger/aquisition would never be approved since MS is already a convicted monopolist. Even if approved, Apple has Aperture (high end) and iPhoto (low end) ready for precisely this contingency.
Except these programs aren't designed for compositing. Nor do they do vector graphics, layers, animations, etc. Adobe is much more than just Photoshop.
5. Cancel ProTools for the Mac and cease support and updates for existing versions
Wait, isn't the current version of ProTools already like four years old?!;)
Clearly you've never used any of Apple's applications. The applications included in Mac OS X, iLife, and iWork are simply amazing, intuitive pieces of software... This MacBook Pro wouldn't be the same if I were just running Windows.
Exactly right. As opposed to maintaining a tracker on a server, and then separately seeding the files, this solves the problem for you, assuming you have sufficient bandwidth and disk space. This essentially combines the best of direct downloading and distributed downloading; ensuring content is always available, while minimizing the bandwidth used to distribute the content.
Considering the PS3 is a "computer", isn't it feasible that it may support an external HD-DVD player? Coupled with the internal HDMI/DLNA that the 360 lacks, I'd say this puts the PS3 in a fairly favorable position regardless of the format wars' outcome.
It didn't make that big of a difference when you only had four colors per line on a 162x192 resolution. More RAM lets you have prettier graphics, and graphics won't make your gameplay any better. Two out of the three next-gen consoles will have 512MB of RAM, and no improvements to actual gameplay.
They may have actually already addressed that problem. FTFA:
By using adaptive optics, what the Air Force has managed to do is to precondition the beam, so that it takes all the abnormal characteristics of the atmosphere out of the beam before it's propagated, and so by the time the beam reaches the target, it evolves into a very pristine, nearly optimal shape.
Yet they say nothing about the ads intruding in an aural manner? I've made a point of personally boycotting any company that uses sound effects in their web-based advertisements.
Maybe according to your emacs calendar...
Your feet touched the ground! That means you have to sing the sorry song!
The two gigabit ethernet plugs on the Mac Pro can do this; they can be combined to serve as one 2Gb connection.
Wait, wasn't this for HD-DVD? So... Why do we care again? ;)
All Intel macs support extended desktop, except the mini, which only has one DVI port.

Not this one, apparently.

Perhaps then we'll actually believe you.

"Please insert disk 17349 of 25000..." That's just the additional fonts disk, right?

Pah! Nethack is all you need!
The iMac has a mini-DVI port, yet the MBPro has a full-sized, Dual Link DVI port.
Fill your pans and bowls with water when you put them in the sink. Sure, it wastes a bit of water, but it helps a ton, seriously. :)

Because it won't come out until the year 3000, of course!
Make a $100 laptop for me! ;)
