Why am I not surprised at all that porn is the third word in the comments about a terabyte hard drive. Pushing forward innovation since the dawn of time, hot steamy sex.
You know what, steam is possibly one of the best systems I have used. I mean seriously, there is absolutely no problems with reinstalling games you own, using games you own.. there has yet to be a day where I was unable to play my games on steam. Saying steam should not be used for distribution is a lot like saying that CD drives are evil and should not be allowed. I presume that you think 'registering with the mothership' by making a steam account, which as far as I recall does not even require personal information, is a horrible thing. This is the best implementation of a next gen distribution system I can conceive. I simply do not get why so many people bring so much hate against it.
I think it looks interesting, but the only thing I drew details from immedietely was the picture, other than that it seemed more about everything but the gameplay itself. Maybe it is just me though.
To be honest, it really is only your family who can really decide. But I highly, HIGHLY suggest that if you move.. make sure that you don't hire someone who will bend a $100 craftsman handsaw in FREAKING HALF to fit it in a box. (Not that it ever happened to me.. no, not at all.)
You don't actually make software hacker proof, the goal is to make it harder to break into it for the average person than to go out and buy it. If it is not worth the effort the only people breaking it will be the actual crackers, and they then have to make it "accessible" as it were.
You know what really makes Doom 3 scary is just having a low fps. I noticed that it suddenly became a lot more boring when I got a decent computer that could pull 60fps on it. Maybe it is just me, but that is what I contribute a lot of the edginess to.
When enquiring as to benefits, I suggest staying away from directly asking about severence benefits. Something like "Well how long do I HAVE to work here to retire with benefits" may not go over well.
...How many accounts are banned? "1 million cheaters banned, play WoW!"
In all seriousness, I have played WoW for about 2 days before forgetting about it. I don't see what the big deal with that paticular MMORPG is, perhaps I just didn't play long enough for the e-heroin injection to arrive.
I find it amusing personally that anyone would read that much into it. Yep, I would never read into something that far, not me... *Goes and erases his draft blog post*

I do believe that sums up about how I feel about the security side of this issue (Plus, it is in my sig). I really hope that the people in america and other countries wake up and realize that this would be a very bad thing.
Civilization 4, the most mixed bag of responses when you ask people about their experience with it I have ever seen. Some people are chiding it for the most unstable, buggy, craptastic gameplay, while personally I find it to run just fine. The problem is, civ 4 just isn't going to run at the larger maps with more units unless you have enough ram, that is the single biggest problem I have noticed. Or rather, not noticed because I have 2 gigs of ram and I have yet to have civ 4 crash on me.
Before you start ripping the reviewer/Firaxis a new one, consider that. Not saying that it is necessarily unwarrented, but you have to understand that Firaxis is trying to move forward. (Also, the biggest map size I have played is the 12-civ pangea, and anything bigger just seems cumbersome to me)

If either had been an exclusive release when they first came out, that would be much more telling of the formats acceptance I think.
I wonder if SCO has schizophrenia, I am getting the wierdest feeling of deja vu here myself. ;)
No kidding, but I think that it is basically reverse-overshoring, in that they are getting people from a _more_ expensive location.
TBH that is not ironic so much as simply coincidental. On a related yet undoubtedly offtopic note, security questions aren't.
Lol same server as me, good times.
Big brother is your friend, by the way chocolate rations are cut in half as of today.
Oh no, somebody stoeled FreeNodes megahurtz!
This sucks, freenode always was slow to connect though, was wierd.

They named it Wii, like.. Wee wee... hehehe man I should be a comedian I am so original.

"Everybody clap for bob!"
It is already happening, but I could quit whenever I want! Honest!
