    This weekend I got one of those false alerts from a fake anti-virus program. I'm guessing I got it from one of these ads. I've never run an adblocker before, but I will now if ads going to start infecting me with stuff.

    Most people aren't downloading huge amount at a time. They're checking facebook, twitter, and browsing the web. Even if they were streaming video, it'll still take a lot to reach 5 Gigabytes.

    Smartphones have been available for at least 10 years now. If AT&T and other carriers had started investing in their data networks then, they wouldn't be having this problem now.

    Because at some point you have to pick a product and go with it if you want to get work done. Sure you can reevaluate every so often, but you can't spend all your time constantly upgrading to the latest thing. People are given a tool, they learn it and get work done.

    What's the point of DRM for streaming content on a portable device anyway? The DRM is just going to eat up more cellular bandwidth and require more cpu on the device. The device isn't going to have enough space to store the whole movie. The fact that it's streaming (and will therefore only have a small portion of the movie in memory at any one time) should negate the need for DRM. It's just crazy

    BSG was a soap opera -- just with people wearing space costumes. When B5 was over I felt that I had watched the characters grow over the last five years. BSG gave me characters that I couldn't care for.
