I think the problem isn't the music adults are buying, it's the kids who most likely drive this market more. everyone should show this restraint when buying music for their kids as well. encourage them to use other formats. high school musical 2 can be found online pretty easily.
I remember a friend of ours had a 64 and we would go over to take turns playing beach head. we would always quote the "I need a medic". there was also this game where you had to climb a mountain the fastest. not sure why we enjoyed that one.
In all fairness video games consoles really haven't offered any difference in game playing until the Wii and DS arrived. That's why porting games is done so often and this has been successful. For the movies it will come down to exclusiveness. Consumers will adapt instead of dictate. I personally would like to see it go the way of downloads.
What if they were though, but not so consumers had more choices, but so companies can offer their own format and have more control over it? What if they are trying to mold the video market into the video game market? Where some movies will be exclusive to certain formats, but in general some movies come out on both formats. The video game console market is successful in doing this why can't the video market?
I can see both formats making lots of money and even a third joining the "war". I also see the mass market not fighting back on this. The only thing stopping this market from really taking off is the price of entry for the HDTVs and the HD movies themselves.
I haven't heard anything bad about the Zune except for it's a total iPod rip off (and the usual hate rehtoric from Apple fanboys who've never owned one) , but it's still a solid MP3 player. In fact it had more features than the iPod. I think kids are going to find that name brand is just a superficial thing and that the Zune does what the iPod does. If you want to avoid a crappy MP3 player then I would suggest avoiding the Zen. It's a great little MP3 player if the software would stop locking users out from being able to put content on it.
Xbox live is a great example of parents using modern technology to babysit their children. The meanest people on Xbox live are the kids. Sometimes you even get to hear the kids yelling at the parents about what food they want them to pick up, while they play games. Man we don't even have time for a fast food dinner these days.
I'm hoping you don't mean just any kind of porn because some porn is violent and some of it is just plain gross, like 2girls1cup. I wish this study would show how religion can cause a person to be violent.
I don't see a problem with it as long as it's something the customers are asking for and not something the government is enforcing on companies. Do we really need this as a law? If someone doesn't like the fact that the dating site they are on doesn't have a background check, then those people should exercise their right to go to another site.
I hate buying HBO TV boxsets because the first disc always has a group of HBO commercials and all the functionality to skip it is disabled. So every time I put that disc in I have to sit through 5 minutes of HBO commercials for their other boxsets. Are there DVD players out there that can override this?
Don't forget the retailers as well. They won't carry an AO game. If they did, then Rockstar wouldn't mind carrying an AO rating on Manhunt 2, as long as the fans can pick it up at Wal-Mart.

Well if a consumer is that lazy, then a half charged car is the least of their problems.
What about .000000004%?
couldnt you just base it off of something else, like the DS clock?
CompUSA is overpriced here as well. They were cheaper on their printer ink than other places though. I wish a Fry's would open in Jacksonville, FL

I would prefer more leg room.
I use the Bake Easy non-stick spray. It wipes right off.
Ron Paul should get David Carradine. He can even use the slogan "I'z kills bills".
Well there goes my weekends of sitting at the local cafe and watching midgets have sex on my laptop.
I'll leave it in a cup by their door.
Do you mean Courtney Love?

Seriously, do the artist get the money from these lawsuits, or does it go straight into an executives pocket?

it's this really disgusting video of girls eating poop and puke. It's better to watch the videos of people reacting to the video.
Geeks = Terrorists Jocks = Patriots

It should because you can only replace this laptop every 52 years. See the problem?

I'm impressed they have a good lawyer. Guitar Hero must really bringing in the money for them.
