Interesting. Do you get the same from non-compact fluorescents? (the long tube ones?)
Is there any way you could shield the CFL bulb, or otherwise, your gear? The ballast should provide a rather stable hum.
1. The Hero Can Immediately Use Any UI: All movie stars know how to use alien UIs 2. Time Travelers Can Use Current Designs: Someone from 500 years from now being able to use DOS? Someone from 500 years ago using Windows? 3. The 3D [Gesture-based] UI: "3D is for demos. 2D is for work." 4. Integration is Easy, Data Interoperates: "Microsoft Works" 5. Access Denied / Access Granted: Why tell them "Access Granted" in equally the same font/color/size as DENIED? 6. Big Fonts: HUGE Fonts = Unrealistic UI + Eyestrain 7. Star Trek's Talking Computer: Harder to specify in words vs. a 3D interface 8. Remote Manipulators (Waldo Controls): Car remote control via a cell phone: high speed control, and accurate? BS 9. You've Got Mail is Always Good News: Never any spam in the movies 10. "This is Unix, It's Easy": Case in point: The kid in Jurassic Park haxing teh Unix. 'nuff said.
I saw something recently that was a rotating condominium, where each floor rotated on its own... The building was round, and all the utilities were in a stationary center "circle". As far as the legal aspect of it, each condominium was 1 floor. The condominium, though, could be rotated to any position the tenant desired, at any time.
Saw it on Daily Planet a week or two ago.
Since it's a campaign against Microsoft and, at its core, against "Treacherous Computing", why doesn't the FSF team up with the EFF for something like that? IANAL, but 2 groups are better than one.
For those of us who don't want to RTFA, (in no particular order):

I guess when #3 comes about, we will be living in the "VoN Age"?
Only problem is, Paypal is not a bank or financial organization, and therefore do not have to comply with federal regulations.
But will it run Linux?
Now, IANAL, but AFAIK locks are fair game for the bolt cutters, at least coming to Canada.
1. Format your hard disk 2. Install Linux 3. Return your Windows for a refund (Profit!)
I don't know why Brazil resists it, it's already been said...
The Internet Is For Porn (WoW version)
It's just begging to be said.
"Why does software suck?" Because it's made by Windows.

but at least 30 people thought it was a brilliant idea
Oh, I figured they would think it was a bright idea.
But who would pay to see something only 2 pixels long?
They don't have to, they could just FedEx you the court documents.

What would happen if he were convicted, and then Ms. Reiser shows up?
Then he would still be convicted, because he can't be tried again, that'd be Double Jeopardy. I'll take File Systems for $1000, please, Alex.
Can they sue, even though Nintendo issued a wii-call?

I guess when #3 comes about, we will be living in the "VoN Age"?
I know someone who set their corporate password to "F*CKTHIS" without the *, and got reprimanded.
*doesn't mention it was a Windows network, because that would be both A) too obvious, and B) flamebait*
So, in other words, all this media coverage for this guy's site is bumping his Google PageRank through the roof.
