Thats because the GMail interface is too quick for the old quilting ladies. They're freaked out by AJAX and find it to be unnatural. Moreover, its been proven by numerous studies that little old quilting ladies don't like buzzwords.

    .Net isn't that hot

Have you -tried- to get a programming job lately without having .Net experience? Okay, maybe thats not completely true, but in my chosen field of programming (web dev) it is becoming increasingly difficult to find a job that doesn't require .Net experience. I'm sure others in the field can vouch for that as well.

Nothing special is going on with Office

How much special stuff do you expect to go on with an office suite? They're obviously making a feeble attempt at it with this ribbonb nonsense and all, and their "open" xml format. But seriously, an office suite is an office suite is an office suite. I'd like to see you innovate on that.

SQL server doesn't seem like anything special compared to oracle or even MySQL

I use MySQL for a lot of projects, however, I'll be the first to point out that it doesn't have -nearly- the features that MS SQL does. MySQL has improved lately, but if you look back at version 4... Compare that to what was available from MS SQL at the time, and you'll see my point.

And I don't want to hear, "oh but I don't see a solution, so they must not be working on y". Bullshit. The issue of ClickFraud is not an easy one to solve. And if you think you can solve it... Then open your own Ad company and put google's ad division out of business.

They've sold millions of Xbox 360s. Their operating system dominates the home PCs and a large share of servers. Their office suite is the "standard" (in the real world). Their .NET languages are dominating the programming market (around here anyway... trying to find a programming job without .NET experience is hellish).

If by "failing" you mean that those with a technological background realize that many of their products are half-done turds, then I can agree. But thats hardly a realistic use of the word "failing".

The Bible itself says that we're "made in god's image". We're the grandest of his creation but we can't understand anything about the world we live in? I think not.

Personally, I believe very strongly in the existence of a creator. But that doesn't "prove" evolution false. In fact, to the contrary, it makes it more believable to me. Sure, creating everything we know in 7 days (as the "fundamentalists" believe) would be pretty impressive. But, more impressive is creating creatures that can adapt and evolve depending on the circumstances they live in, passing these changes down to make a more hardy species.

This bullshit about software being designed poorly because of its being made in admin mode is just absurd. You create test users. Users that don't have admin access on your machine.
