Actually, these councils and troops who do come out anti gay and making you be a Christian (NOT a national policy by any means) are not actually following the TRUE scouting principles. Making anti gay remarks or remarks against any person is not good scouting behavior. The only thing that the scout law asks of scouts is that they put their religion at a high level of importance....whatever it is. You CAN say they ask that you believe in god.....not the Christian God, the Jew God or Allah....GOD. The only people who may have an issue is atheists and your post advertises this well. Atheists, Gay Scouts and others should not be turned away. Also, as I am a leader now, there's NO WHERE on the form where it asks your sexual orientation. It does ask that you make a commitment to a religious faith and anything concerning religion in the scouts is non sectarian. Also, as the BSA is also a part of World Scouting, there's no rule in the BSA that states you MUST be a Christian. They just ask that you hold a religious belief. Don't believe me? Organic definitions are highly suspect in my opinion. What does Organic mean? Some companies try to side step it. Some companies are totally honest. If you go by the chemical definition of organic, then many of the regular veggies not in the organic section are organic. Some pesticides fit the organic definition (chemically). The only thing I have seen in stuff that is truly grown with no chemicals is that it does not last as long and is usually NOT better for you then the organic stuff. Media focuses on bad cases....what bad cases?? Olean fried chips?? They just gave ya a bit of anal leakage and that was a rare event. I personally felt no different eating both the Olean chips and the regular greasy ones....both made me react badly if I ate too many of them. When eaten in moderation, I had no effect.
They are being greedy and also focused on the one part that DVD's have....the movie. The only thing iTunes has that a DVD does is a inferior copy of the movie. When you buy DVD's, you get so much more. You get menus and other content you simply do not get on the download. You get making of clips and many things that some people do not like, but I personally think is worth the extra 2 bucks.
I would NEVER take our main CCisco driven backbone down and replace it with Open Source. Again, support is the issue. Don't try to convert people when you are fixing their computer. They will just want what they had before which was Windows. The time to catch them is when they are ready for a new computer, or when they are really frustrated with having to come back to you again to get the spyware cleaned off. If they are just asking to replace the motherboard or their machine doesn't have any spyware on it, they will just want their issue fixed.

Yes I understand the working code. That isn't the issue. It should work before the users get it. That much is obvious. In my book, end user testing has brought out more then any test suite can. Users can spot things MUCH easier then a computer program can.

The only true way to test these things is to have a USER test it. So frigging what if the test passes....if the user doesn't like the arrangement of the controls or the color of them then you have to change it....yeah, it's crap, but trust me...I would rather NOT have 400 different colors (if you let them change this on their own) to look at when I go to try to fix something for someone when something runs amok (sometimes users pick the most eye bleeding colors....). Yes, those are minor things but the fact is the USER is the one who picks them. A computer program can't test that the color is eye pleasing. A computer program also cannot test every single scenario that a user can come up with. One thing I have learned is NEVER underestimate the idiotic things users can come up with.
I only ask one thing....PROOF. Not ONE instance have I seen anyone able to prove what is in the article. In fact, the local news here did a story on this right after the election (oh and by the way, Kerry won our county.....Franklin County, OH) and the only thing that they did seem to find was there was not enough machines at the polling locations. That's it. Nothing more. IN fact, because of this situation, the board of elections kept most polls open longer then the regular closing time. If there were still people in lines at the posted closing time, they let them vote.
This is just more democrats whining about not winning the election.
