What in the world are you talking about. Emulation for cart-based systems has been around many years now, and continues to do well on newer systems as somebody else already pointed out.
I know one person who did - because the CompUSA in our area was closing and had a couple copies of the business edition sitting on the shelf at a discount.
I saw a job posting for some local company that was simply titled "We need a computer guy" - $8 an hour, job description matching what you just said. You're exactly right, a shitty job with a heavy emphasis on "other duties as assigned".
If you're in another country, you obey that country's laws. Doesn't matter if you're a U.S.-based company taking 30 zillion pictures to post on the internet or you're a tourist on your honeymoon.
- Announce heavy-handed DRM
- "Listen" to backlash from fans
- Announce less heavy-handed DRM
- Pat yourself on the back when the fans lavish praise on you, knowing you still got your foot in the door anyway
That would be nice to see a feature like that added in. It already plays music and movies, heck they added Skype functionality in a recent update, and there's a 1seg TV tuner available for it in Japan. Why not have it handle books too?
Do they actually enforce that though? I've gone over that limit by a measurable amount several times now and all I've ever heard from them is how I can save money if I bundle phone service (unneeded) and cable TV (unwanted) with my internet.
Not only that, but look at what MSN's doing with their music - turning off the server used to authenticate the files. Sure, the game can phone home when you have internet access, but what if "home" is taken out of service? One can only hope they'll be kind enough to release a software patch disabling this "feature" before that happens.
In any event, I know I won't be buying this anytime soon.
Indeed, he's not even 60 yet. His shelf life for this role is a little longer than some other traditional action heroes because it depends on him looking smart, rather than looking tough. If they're gonna do this within the next 3-5 years, get Anderson.
I had that problem too, then struck gold about four years ago at the place I'm currently working at. Did helpdesk for a year and a half, then the guy above me quit and all of a sudden I was a system administrator, then I took over programming duties after the company hired a string of busts in that position.
I guess the trick is to get in some place where a promotion doesn't mean you move from junior phone monkey to senior phone monkey, or to already have 20 years of experience.:|

I don't think it has to do with the supply of oil, it's just that Boone Pickens saw the amount of wind his school's football coach was capable of expelling and saw a potential source of revenue out of it.
Along with the peace and quiet, friendly attitude at local businesses, etc etc etc
No, but your 6-digit UID should be enough! Maybe.
Same on Trillian... dunno what this guy is talking about, or when the last time he tried was

Sudden outbreak of common sense, my foot!
It's OVER 9000!!!!
Sorry, I'll leave now

You can even put it in a bucket of magnets and nothing bad will happen! How cool is that!

I for one blame the Dutch. I know they had something to do with it!

One could also say the same of Indian restaurants. Shitting lava the next day is no laughing matter!
This is clearly Tibet's doing! Curse you, Dalai Lama!

NO U!
Agreed - I liked Pidgin much better when it was GAIM. There were some oddities I just couldn't get used to.
What sovereignty do you have when you are worm food?
Answer: none.
Why isn't this modded Flaimbait?
Got something against opinions that don't match yours?
The CNN/Associated Press article is sensationalistic at best and misleading at worst.
That's pretty much their forte anyway, so...
