    You seem to be under a misaprehension. He's NOT "your sysadmin", he's your outsource company's sysadmin. As others here have said, if that's a problem, hire one yourself and be sure you treat him/her well.

    Resurrect? goComics.com has been reprinting Bloom County and Breathed's FIRST strip, "Academia Waltz" for some time now:

    Although if I were Linus I wouldn't exactly take the market as my best legal opinion in the matter... IANAL and the M(arket) is sure as hell is NAL either.

    Interesting. SCO [SCOX] was trading less than 4 up until mid-to-end April which is when (If I recall correctly) this "Sue Linux" campaign started. Just now it's trading at about 6. A 50% rise in insider's value. Hmmm. And since on 2/21 this year a bunch of Directors have been "awarded" shares at $0.001/share, I'm looking for some more insider sales.

    How about slashdotters? Should we each buy some SCOX and then raise holy heck at the next shareholder's meeting? Could be fun...

    Oh, and as respects the CAR15 fanatic? 1000 rounds would not be enough at our Pennsic War. Maybe 4000 would be. Who said a sca fighter ONLY played with medieval toys, though?

    I rejected racks when I saw the prices. I'm now using 72" Baker's Grid-type shelving: adjustable, varying heights and depths, and you can adjust the spacing to about an inch. The shelving varies in price/quality, but a 72"x48"x18# unit is less than $70 at my local Ikea (OMAR, in case you're interested)... That and a couple of consumer tabletop fans, and it's cool! :)

    ...sounds like "Multisensor Fusion", the techniques used to tell, in a situation with multiple inputs on multiple, um, incoming things, to correlate specific blips with each other to resolve these things. Ie: report 37 from sensor "a" and report 545 from sensor "c" are from the same object. Report 7 from sensor "b" isn't..

    DARPA archives should help you a lot.

    Gee, security - only I will be able to use my computer! I love it. I love, also, the ability to uniquely identify myself to any website I visit!!! No more of these stodgy userids and passwords that convey no other information! And I'm sure I won't even have to intervene - it'll be all automatic. And people who read my emails (including the recipients!!) will KNOW they're from me.

    Doesn't that make you fee SO secure?

    I've been to several European countries where they have nude gameshows on primetime, I don't think it warps the minds of children.

    OF COURSE it warps their minds! Look: they smoke too much, drink too much, f**k too much, they talk funny, eat strange foods (snails! eech!) and they DARE TO THINK THE USA ISN'T THE BE-ALL AND END-ALL OF WONDERFUL PLACES!!! If we don't protect our children from this awful horror, they'll grow up with a tolerant one-world context, with the idea that sex is healthy, and worst of all, believing that the US gov't _shouldn't_ run everything everywhere!

    Anyway, who actually WANTED to watch Dennis Franz's cheeks?
