We cannot let them do this!!!

I don't know about the specs for all these computers, but getting a child started with one would certainly be a "starter" making them wish for more powerful computers, games, and other serious wastes of time!!

Wikipedia is heavily regulated by administrators, logs are kept of every alteration of an article, and repeat vandals are quickly banned. Most vandalism on the site is pretty obvious anyways. Nice try trying to pass yourself off as an american (and by american I do mean the US of A). It's funny, I don't think any of our Congressmen and women know that any Joe with a bit of programming knowledge can create a video game. It may not be a 3 dimensional multi million dollar MMO, but it's not that difficult. I made one just last night, it was a siple 2d arcade game. I don't think jack thompson knows that anyone can create one as well. What are they going to do, filter the Internet? Like Communist China? There are hundreds of thousands of video games on the Internet, from simple flash games to independant games. I think that any legislation enacted against online activity or Software would be ineffective, possibly even unenforcable, and might contain many loopholes. I do however believe that there should be some looking into the 'contracts' that users have to agree to. I've read some and some can be labeled as very general, unspecific and out right wrong. I realise that hollywood is remaking old IP now because they are easier to make money off of, have an established fan base, and they have a proven popular story. Also, holywood cannot make a decent plot for a movie. I hate TV, I hate movies, TV makes me feel horrible, as do movies, because they btoh have something in common: Cliches, and stereotypes (stereotypes being the most common thing on TV). People praise these directors like they are some big thing, jurrassic park, Terminator, whatever, none of these things really did anything for me. I remember a movie (forget its name BTW) about 3 guys who decide to rob a bank in a town in new jersey. The catch was, they returned the money to the bank. I could tell just from the plot devices that it was a budget title. I'm not sure they could even afford nice outfits because they had a famous actor wearing pretty old common junky clothes all the time. I don't know his name, but he wore this ridiculously huge fur cap, that made him look ridiculous. The story telling was not all that great in this movie. The actors were acting cartoonish, with wild pointless gestures. One scene at the bank when they returned the money, they were actually pointing fingers at each other.
