Heh, UMR. The school with a 3-1 male/female ratio...Only reason I'm thinking about going is for the explosives class (and a free ride) but other than that I'm looking out of state.
Also, they just changed their name to the Missouri Institute of Science and Technology, or MUST for short.
Gooooo MUSTy Miners! (Who mine with a slide rule o.O)
I don't trust current events on Wikipedia necessarily, but if I'm doing research for a project (like the American System, or Luis Walter Alvarez) I find that Wikipedia offers a great summary and good sources for further info. Common sense dictates what I will and won't believe.
I must be a rare subject...I'm pulling a 3.7 in my junior year (and that D in 9th grade was because I had a bitch teacher,) I'm in severals honors classes, an AP class, in marching band, jazz band, full orchestra, A+, and I still manage several hours on the computer. I have several friends like myself. I hate when studies like this "proove" to people that kids should have no free time ever, or they'll become idiots. The trick is parents knowing what's good for their children. Though some parents need to have their TV time limited, as well...
The article was written to point out the problems with the Wii. I knew Billy back when he ran planetgamecube.com, I'm sure he wants the Wii to succeed. But haven't there been enough articles on what's good about the Wii?
I'm more concerned that these new additions look like TRASH. I like Facebook because it was clean and uniform; I could easily find what I was looking for on a page. This new junk is too much...even the shrinking sections in my profile. It's too much junk, I was fine with my whole profile showing. They even had to rearrange everything!
I'd rather it talk to someone who breaks in. I mean if I walked into some guy's house looking for something to gank and all of a sudden the mirror was like "What are you doing here?" I think I'd be gone FAST.
They could possibly invest in the cure, I'm sure that it's not something that's going to be free or anything. Besides, most of the major companies do a lot of other things besides diabetes.
Wow that's great and all but another type 1 here...I don't care where the insulin is coming from if it's not coming from ME. This is like our gas problems, why work on getting more gas when we could be working on not needing it at all? I'd rather see work done on a cure than temporary relief.
I still don't know why people can't just not watch things that offend them...I know that this case was mainly for the money, but I've made a couple short films and I would be somewhat offended myself if someone said "Yeah I want to watch your work, except for these 3 minutes here and 4 near the end." Why is it that we have to change things for everyone because certain people don't want to have to deal with them? When do people take personal responsibility? It seems never, nowadays.
Reminds me of the fact that when I leave my house in the morning school rules apply. If I were a smoker and were to smoke before getting on the bus, I could be disciplined. If I'm walking home and another student attacks me, any retaliation on my part would be disciplined.
Oh, and trust me: there's little drug dealing on school campuses. Kids are smart enough to do that stuff at home.
I know us kids have no minds of our own and we're obviously not intelligent till the day we turn 18, but this is terrible. Parents should be responsible, but they just push that off on everyone else.
Society today...
I did that in 7th Grade. I broke the test, it couldn't get any higher. I stopped measuring my reading level at 14th grade. I opped out and went and make CO2 cars in shop, heh. More fun.
Well, University of Missouri - Columbia is "MU". Besides, MOST is some state college savings fund.

A few specialty DVDs do...I believe DCI does, but that's why the DVD costs nearly 100 bucks.

Everyone has a G5 iPod, of course sales are falling.

I for one welcome our new wasp overlords.
Not a gimmick. Tons of info in PopSci (was it PopMech? one of them) last month on it.
16 bucks for 2 cans of compressed air...it's just as expensive at cologne.
I want a quantum duck.
