I find it amusingly ironic that the "manly" device (as opposed to the one "designed by and for women") is the one that has swooshy flares and comes in a variety of colors. Now, I realize that it all adds to the functionality, but on first glance it just seemed a bit silly.
Here's a novel thought. Some may prefer a Microsoft OS. Bringing up "but they're closed minded because they didn't pick what I wanted them to pick" just makes your side look bad.
I'll go even further and suggest it makes them look, dare I say, closed minded.
Robert Tappan Morris, the 21-year-old Cornell University student who unleashed the first worm attack on the Internet in 1988, has fully rehabilitated his reputation in the computer science community. Today, he is a respected associate professor of computer science at MIT.
Sounds like a terrorist to me. And anyone who's ever taken one of his classes or worked with him is guilty of palling around with terrorists.
Really? Maybe you might want to check again. For the most part, the market (Dow, S&P, NASDAQ) are right where they were 10 years ago. Not exactly the kind of "growth" I would hope for over a 10-year span.
Actually, this sounds interesting to play around with, even though it wouldn't be remotely useful to me. I'll hop on over to my local Radio Shack this afternoon and see if they have any they'll give me.
I seriously doubt your local RatShack will have any left. They cleared them out like 7 or 8 years ago.
He probably doesn't. But the point still stands that whoever owns the publishing rights really doesn't have a say in whether the recordings are used in Rock Band.
Actually, rhythmically, Ringo (or Paul if you subscribe to that theory) was right on. It's just that a lot of the rhythms that were played were off-beat. There's a major difference between the two.
When I was growing up, I never really listened to the stuff my dad listened to except when he chose the radio station. I didn't mind any of it, but I never went out of my way to listen to most of it on my own. Now that I'm in my 30s, I can really appreciate being raised on the Beatles, Floyd, Zeppelin, CCR, Boston, Heart, etc.
Jackson bought the publishing rights to the music. For the most part, this covers sheet music, lyric printing, cover versions, etc. The actual sound recordings, which are what Rock Band would use, still belong to Apple Corps Ltd.
It seems that you're confusing how comments get moderated with people actually having a discussion. I can't count the number of times I've had or read entire discussions on/. where a single comment in the thread wasn't moderated at all. Based on your criteria, those discussions didn't happen.
Agreed. Now we just need someone to act as a mediator over all the comments. That way we won't have to sift through all sorts of useless drivel. Any volunteers?
Try uninstalling the KB952287 update. For whatever reason, that seems to have eliminated all of my ATI driver problems on Vista. The chances of actually needing that update installed are next to zero.
Sure, let's all go to their site to watch a flower whose scientific name translates to 'giant misshapen penis' 'bloom' in full 1080p HD...
I think I've already seen that video...
You could've easily had a +5. Such a shame you didn't use the preview button....

Just wait until you actually try to use it.
I'll let someone else be the guinea pig. I've been burned by this sort of thing before.
You mean you're doing it in the "IE Tab" extension inside Firefox?
Noooo. He means he installed the Silverlight plugin and is watching it natively in Firefox. Y'know, basically what this whole article is about.

You'll learn a lot more than you ever could at the sphincter end of a twitter feed.
Is there any other end to a Twitter feed?

The Market is higher then it was 10 year ago.

An average drum player at best.
I'm pretty sure that you're not a drummer since any reasonable drummer wouldn't say something so silly. Really. And yes, I am a drummer.

And double bonus points for off-rhythm drumming?

That's an unfortunate place to make a typo....Dual-SIM phones would be nice, though.
Thank you sir, may I have another? Gee this Google whip feels the same as the Microsoft one.
But it's not evil! That means it should feel good.
What about Oddjob's razor-brimmed bowler hat?
What about it? It's #9.
this is what passes for discussion here....

Is it me, or is the music quality really really bad?
I thought that was a given. After all, we're talking about MTV....

I'm betting the latter. Do I have any takers?
Hell no! What kind of fool do you take me for?!? : p
