It doesn't have a scroll-wheel.... the genius of the iPod. It LOOKS like it, but it's really just a D-pad hidden under some round plastic. That's just pure genius for you
Despite what everyone says I don't see how the scroll-wheel on the iPod is anything special. I use a Zen Vision:M and can jump to any song I want within seconds with it's vertical touch pad.
And this is more of a personal problem, but I'm unable to to use iPods with my right hand because I have funky joints which don't work with the scroll-wheel at all.
They've basically reached the apex of what office and pc software is capable of doing. The only place for them to expand is to reach out into the entertainment business.
Yahoo more closely matches the desktop experience most serious email users have come to expect.
But does it support POP? The main reason I love gmail is because it's the only free email service that lets me use clients like Thunderbird (that I've found). Nothing beats the desktop experience like the real desktop experience.
I don't know why anyone would want to watch a movie on a DS. The screen is way too small and doesn't support enough colors. It would end up looking like crap and, dispite the coolness of getting to say "I can watch movies on my ds", it wouldn't be worth it.
A lot of studios and retailers have already abandoned the UMD format. A couple months ago Sony said that they were planning on making a download service to replace it.
Hollywood has figured out that the quality of a movie has a small effect on how well the movie sells compared to the advertising used to promote a movie. So the logical strategy, from a marketing perspective, is to reduce the quality and increase the advertising; this is exactly what Hollywood is doing.
People watch bad movies just as much (if not more) as they watch good movies. In the end it pays off more to make a bad movie.
Mario Galaxy isn't a launch title, but it'll be released within the first six months.
Nintendo seems to be intentionally holding it back (along with other games like SSB). Rather than squeeze all it's good games into the launch date, Nintendo's going to spread them out over a series of months so they can keep the "amazing new console" feeling for the Wii lasting longer.
They said at E3 that $250 is reasonable. But if the Xbox drops in price they'll probably lower theirs to $200 because they want to stay below the Xbox.
Just because a console is capable of supporting hd graphics doesn't mean that the games will have that much detail in them. It's expensive for developers to create an entire hd environment, with hd characters, hd items, and hd everything else.
It's true that having hd capablities makes a console more attractive, but in reality it doesn't make a huge difference.

I've never known anyone to have trouble with it. How is it difficult to click the "update" button and let it do everything for you?
This sounds more like a lame attempt to bash "Micro$oft" yet again.

I've also been having a lot of problems with this "game". A tedious and broken system which wastes my time? Sign me up!
All the hype E3 generates is pretty stressful, I'm still getting over this year's event.
There are other ways that games can be displayed that don't create a hype explosion.

This number doesn't mean much unless you compare it to Sony's and Microsoft's, and what their profits have been in the past.
The only thing "childish" here is that people are still making penis jokes about the Wii's name.

Getting drunk and playing Wario Ware sounds awesome.

Tons of companies have copied the iPod and Apple still has dominance over the portable media industry.
