    Yeah, that's it...dual home that sucker so I can get in the front and eat your network for lunch from the back. Databases which take one wrong query will spew all of your data out like a teenager who drank too much rum and I will own whatever is there. Firewalls do ingress and egress filtering for a reason. If you can't mitigate a DDoS attack, you shouldn't be working in a position that would require you to.

    Very well said! I read all of the "stories" involved in this argument and I feel as though Wired is doing a good job of being impartial. I do think they should publish the logs in a redacted format though.

    They have integrated Netware services with UNIX and Linux...YEARS AGO! They just don't know how to market the awesomeness of their main money maker, that being eDirectory. One place I worked for several years had E10Ks named SUNEDIR1 and SUNEDIR2...HUGE eDirectory servers running on...Solaris!

    Those are more along the lines of Craftsmen. They work in the "Trades" field, but carry such titles as Apprentice, Journeyman, or Master. Once one is a master, I would certainly consider them to be beyond professionals.
