Well duh. It's because any problem can be solved by branding! Energy issues? Branding. AIDS? Branding. Bad business model? Branding. It's how the world works.
Cheap? It takes something like $30,000 to fill an ipod from itunes! Sure it may take that much to fill a truck with Sapporo, but no one does that. Lots of people fill their ipods.
I find that having a GPS makes it easier to learn the local streets, since it shows me where I am on the map at all times. Otherwise I have to spend all my time trying to figure our what that tiny street sign says and I miss everything else.
That's just a canard. The only thing we learn from manned spaceflight is that it's really expensive. If we want to colonize other worlds we need to spend the money doing the research and developing the technologies we need, not wasting money sending people on weekend getaways to airless rocks or spacestations that will deorbit in ten years.
I don't give a shit how much power the Democrats have right now. What matters is what shape the country is in. We would have been in such a better state with Gore instead of Bush that no amount of power in one party can make up the difference.
"Brooks ain't no bug. He's just... he's just institutionalized."
"The man's been in here fifty years, Haywood. Fifty years. This is all he knows. In here, he's an important man. He's an educated man. Outside, he's nothin'. Just a used up con with arthritis in both hands. He probably can't even get a Library Card if he tried. You know what I'm trying to say."
"I'm telling ya, these walls are funny. First, ya hate 'em. Then ya get used to 'em. Enough time passes, ya get so you depend on 'em. That's institutionalized."
I wouldn't kick a wall in them like I could in work boots, but they provide enough protection that accidental toe-stubbing hasn't really been a problem.
I've been wearing them nearly every day for 6 months, including on runs. Very comfortable, sole is holding up well. You do have to adjust your running style, but my feet feel fine when I wear them.
You don't remember the scene where Alia is going at it naked with the machine, and Paul comes in and tells her she's nuts to be using it at so high a setting, and she tells him he's just jealous because he had never had it turned up so high?
The only person I see here throwing around insults is you. Take your head out of your ass and maybe you'll notice that you're accusing others of doing what only you are doing.
Couldn't this same experiment be done on a centrifuge in Earth's gravity? Centrifuges usually are used to increase apparent gravity, but if it were shaped so that the plant and soil faced outward, at the right speed, wouldn't one be able to mimic that 1/6 g?

What about cannibals?
So that's how Melkor created the orcs!

"won't be affected" goddamnit. Why can't slashdotters get this stuff right? It's really not that hard, I promise.

I've got an old 1979 TI-36 around somewhere. Still works, but very very slowly.

Because weather is not at all the same thing as climate.
Pushing out Cheney would be a step to the first. This is a step to the third. Palin 2012 baby!

See, this is exactly why I don't like cats.
Sorry, how does conficker spread again?
Actually that was in the book, Dune: Messiah.

Seriously though, as the owner of an 8" EeePC, it totally works. It's just like a puppy.

They (Tesla) can't make it affordable. That's why they have to make it luxury. No one will pay those prices without those extra features.
"36.I seldom worry about my heath"
I sure do. It's all withered and full of dragons.
