I actually had to switch to chrome because my wife plays Farmville and it was constantly bringing the computer to a halt in Firefox/IE. It works well in chrome though. I was thinking that it was a flash issue until I tried chrome.
Foreign nationals get a good education free or cheap in their home countries and come over here to enroll in a us college because it provides them an avenue to migrate to the US where they can use to good cheap/free education that they got at home. Then they can take the high paying jobs that require eduction and send the money back home to their families.
I think he just broke under pressure. There is supposedly evidence from a survey preformed in the US in 2007 that supports Wakefield's findings.

I am only interested in this because I am about to have a child. Where I am from we get vaccinated a lot later than in the US. I think I got vaccinated around 9 or 10, not before 2 like in the US
It is because education in this country is to expensive. The media portrays I.T. people as geeks. Education is cheap elsewhere.
There really is a shortage of American programmers the last company that I was at was trying to train people with degrees in economics and other things to be programmers.
I often see programming jobs available for months not being filled because of a lack of qualified applicants.
2 years before the USCIS got twice as many applicants for H1b visa on the first day of the quota opening. This year in the recession it has been months and the quota has not been filled. Demand has dropped this year but there is still a shortage that is being filled by the H1b's.
If America is not willing to make education cheap enough for people to get a quality education you can blame businesses for importing labor from countries that are.
I personally hate flash. Games are the only thing that I think flash should be used for. I like gmail and think that most non-game interactive stuff can be doing using GWT or something else. My wife plays a lot of flash games on facebook. I find that these games just eat CPU. I wonder how flash much client resources flash ads consume, but I don't really can't because I block them with adblock plus so they don't show up anyway.
My little ole computer beeps and gives a warning when the default settings are loaded. It says something about the default CMOS settings being loaded and requires me to press a key to continue. Why doesn't this machine do the same?
I have come across this a lot here in America. They often use software to screen the resumes and the software does exactly what you mention in you post.
For people in IT I think this type of screen in counterproductive. The people that have all of the technologies that people list in the requirements are probably lying and if they are not know some obscure technology that this particular client is using is not going to necessarily make you more effective on the job than someone with general experience.
It think that if firms would stop using the recruiting companies and take the time and money to do the recruitment themselves it would pay off.
I many people that I know have been caught be sites the claim that their computer had a virus and was nice enough to offer software to get rid of the virus. How long will it take for someone to use this well intentioned feature to trick users into installing the malware that it is intended to fight?
I am the opposite. I usually want to send people to programming jail when they have 2000 lines of code in one method, lots of nested if statements and a whole bunch of comments saying with this piece of duct tape is here.
I say do it right the first time instead of trying to patch it till it works. Duct tape programming is a maintenance nightmare.
Yes we do really need another OS. How else can we fight against the crap that Microsoft will try to shove down our throats.
Having alternatives is a good way to encourage improvements. Vista literally forced me to use Linux because I found the performance so bad.
Knowledge and skill... if only that were true. Employers are often as good as choosing the technology as they are at choosing people. It is all about your marketing skills not your technical skills.
The electricity company in Barbados has been doing this for as long as I can remember. They use sea water to cool their equipment. There equipment seems to last. Most of their intake pipes are fiberglass. The place where they pump the water back out to see is a favourite bathing spot for locals. I wonder about the long-term environmental impact of this. The water there smells funny but it feels really good.
Companies really do have problems finding qualified people to fill jobs, especially in tech. This is mostly because education in America is to expensive. I my opinion American education is also sub standard.
The company that I was working for laid off almost all of its contractors. Many of them where on H1-B probably being contracted out by the companies that own their visas. Contractors often have to go a couple of middle men before they get to the company and this raises the rates that the companies pay for contractors. Companies don't necessarily pay less for H1-B contractors even if what the person on H1-B gets is less than the American doing the same job.
I think companies could save a lot if they did their own recruiting instead of outsourcing it to third parties. It would also be nice if companies could sponsor individuals for H1-B visas but the 6 month wait between April when you have to apply for them and October when the person can come in is probably to much for most companies.
In my opinion the H1 system needs revamping and probably would not even be necessary if education was not so expensive in America.
You sound like me. I was forced to use windows to play WOW. The Linux video driver for my Intel 950 sucks. The laptop would freeze a lot after Lich King was released. I started to play in Vista as result but the unresponsiveness in vista of my computer makes me think getting a laptop with a video card that works with WOW in Linux is a better option.
Members of the Java Community should protest this. I don't see this lawsuit doing anyone any good, not even Oracle. sign the petition! http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/oracledropgooglelawsuit/

You need to switch to Ubuntu so you can run your computer without having to worry about viruses or worse, anti-virus software.

I wonder if this same procedure would work if they took microcondria from animals.

I have just found that mine usually fails right after the warranty runs out.

Maybe Microsoft should take a lesson from Blizzard and take more time to make sure that a product is good before they release it.

That is all good till you get lost and can't use your own GPS.

I had a company laptop I just put my own hard drive in it when I was using it at home or you could just boot from USB.

Sorry for staff, glad for cheap electronics. Now if only I had money.

If windows has the same problems which kept businesses from replacing XP with Vista. What happens when support for XP runs out?
