    Wind turbine generation is such shit. If you have a lot of constant, unending wind, it seems like a good idea; typically, solar outclasses it by far.

    I've found that my ISP (Belgacom/Proximus) has gone in to my DSL router (modem, wifi etc all-in-one box), and turned on FON internet sharing despite us not being signed up for and me manually disabling it previously.

    The ISP you worked for might be a-ok, but others sure as fuck aint.

    Well we know the folly of letting customers update firmware and pass words.

    I almost dislike this but the more I learn about flaws and blunders hidden in
    routers and other devices the more I lean to the update me camp.

    My ISP (Belgacom/Proximus) did an update on my router, that forced FON to be enabled - based on that kind of behaviour, I'd rather they the fuck away from stuff on my(!) network, and let me update/manage stuff!

    You're missing the fact that adults and most teens of 16+ age, drive.

    You may have missed recent stories about proposals for "cycle highways" in Munich and London. Or are those designed for someone other than "adults and most teens of 16+ age"?

    You're both missing that in many, many countries, operating an automobile is not permitted by law at age 16.

    If you take a balance scale, and put 1 kg on either side of it, then adding 30g more on just one side will make it still be a scale - nothing those 30g can do will change that.

    That should take care of most of the ads + malware. Optionally use something to simply kill scripts, but that might impact the usability of various sites.

    Is really the problem with police - they are only ever able to address a single item at a time, so when they say to call 112 if you see a given (potential) crime as per Finnish law, it means that the police is completely and 100% dedicated to that single (potentially) criminal activity.

    Just checked, my Firefox says it is versoin 39.0 - no third number (39.0.3), and the application itself says it is "up to date".
    Would think that they'd include the full version-number in the About box (the place they say to go to check for updates), just so users can be 100% certain they are using the right one :/
