Pro Tip: Get a passport and travel around a bit. You'll find that there are bright people everywhere, and often they have indoor plumbing and stuff.
If you're telling an American to go travel, you'll first have to explain that there is part of the planet that is outside of US, Canada and Mexico . - Then you should explain the concept that people outside of those 3 countries do not always speak English.. - and that they have sovereign countries with laws differing from those of the US (1).. - and that getting there likely requires more than a car.. - and that people outside of those 3 countries might not be Christian, or Muslims (2).. - and that Americans usually cannot bring their guns with them when traveling internationally (3).. - and that spending a week in Paris doesn't qualify as "seeing all of Europe"..
In fact, while I commend the idea of getting more Americans to travel internationally, I suspect you're setting yourself up for a lot of hard work.
1: Judging from posts on Slashdot, the prevailing sentiment is that the World is subject to US laws 2: Judging from Fox News, those are the only 2 type of people in existence 3: See signs when passing from El Paso, US, to Ciudad Juarez, MX
It confuses people, apparently

Wrote an online 3rd-party app for a game from CCP Games, where I explicitly designed it to automagically update the server when people entered data - there was no need for, or way to, save things. People helping out testing came back and asked, "How do we save things? Where is the save-button?"; apparently, the idea that things are saved continuously confused people.
From that experience, I concluded 2 things: 1) All apps should save progress automatically where possible (and sane) 2) I should use Alpha/Beta testers, that whine less
Tell that to CCP Games's developers for EVE:Valkyrie... of cause, in 2 years, they'll announce the incomplete Beta a failure, and switch to something new...
Belgium, the state, is mono-lingual - I've yet to get ANYTHING (even on request) from the state, national rail, phone-companies, hospitals or much of anyone else in anything but French.
Heck, even the local hospital here in Brussels have everything in French, with a few (random?) signs also duplicated in Dutch and in smaller letters.
I even tried to sign up for things specifically in Flanderen - when stuff then gets sent to me in Brussels, it is in French.
Clean-up duty - apparently US got so envious of all the immigrants taking all the cleaning-jobs, that they created themselves a high-tech clean-up job.
NoScript allows you some measure of control - obnoxious Flash ads, Javascript-driven ads and other bits can often be turned off (due to separate origins) while the main functionality stays on.
We all know this - issue is, lots of people _dont_and_won't_ understand why it isn't really a problem. Those will be the people, who'll be fun to look at later on.
The issue is that the person having your stolen iPhone might be in possession of other stolen or illicit goods - that would result in more paperwork, possibly arrests, investigation... Aw, is just too much hassle!
If people worry about being able to have food on the table while studying, they are likely living in some backwater, 3rd world country, and probably do not have internet access to read your question or post a reply.
Meanwhile, in the modern, 1st-world, western countries, social policies and government-supported education (put in place to ensure the well-being and future of those countries) ensure that people are able to follow higher education, while having a place to live and food to eat.
Better hope that you don't suddenly need more B-2s

Logged into eBay, in a foreign language (and not English), and found it trivially :)
Note to you: GM is FAR from the only company taking this kind of step to reduce its legal exposure

Don't underestimate people's ability to not remember the recent past.
Don't worry - they'll innovate this right into YouTube and G+!
(assuming the rumor of this deal is true, and it goes through)
Mine crashes ca twice weekly ... of cause, I'm on the Aurora branch, sooo....

Smuggle dead body-parts across the (northern) border, dump the cargo randomly, confuse the heck out of the local law-enforcement.
yes - equipment was clearly not calibrated properly before 1998.
To excise the Gamespy-related code?
To update/migrate to a later platform?

What costs more? 1MW jamming gear, or HARM missiles?
Yeah, forced ads, "FBI warnings" (in countries beyond the US!) and other annoyances will NEVER find it's way into streaming media :)
Precisely! :)
I'm soooo looking forward to someone in California realizing that their seawater is connected to the seawater outside of Fukushima Daiichi ...

Go for a Jolla, or install Sailfish on your Nexus :)
Purely out of curiosity: what percentage of this "management 'S' team", that the article refers to, are working as box shifters?
from some reports, significant amount of people were hurt from seeing a bright flash, and the running to the windows to look out ....
