[...] since a couple of schools are starting to make iPad a basic necessity for education and others are looking at them as an example instead of going for the open-source android communities.
Interesting - I recall that we we're told to not wear breathing-apparatuses (e.g. diving-gear) for extended periods for health-reasons (water in lungs?), and could imagine that wearing surgical masks for 8 hours daily for 3 months might lead to some issues.
As best I can tell, it is only with this step, moving MSN users to Skype, that we're really screwed over - there are 3rd party MSN clients, opensauced and whatnut, that at least work somewhat. With this move, it is Bloated Skype* or nothing.
*: I only have 2 gig of ram - I can feel my computer slow down when Skype is running, also in the latest version.
Write it in a different language, then run it through 5 different translation engines across a dusin languages, ending in which-ever is the native language of the recipient.... that should throw them for a loop.
My solution to the "restart firefox" - use the Aurora build: There is a new build every day, so you're suggested to restart daily:)..and yes - my mac becomes noticable faster every time I restart FF.
you're company would train people if moving to the current Win8? Impressed, ours would say "You're professionals, now be professional and just use the tools we give you".
I fly semi-regularly, and I've only ever seen this happen once: Frankfurt-Katowice, second-last flight of the day on that route, and those 3 persons that waited for the last one was paid fairly handsomely for waiting 3 hours.
Have heard a lot of claims that it is done constantly, but truly only seen it once.
Problem is not the people (like me) who travel light/optimized and thus have no need to checked luggage - it is the people that drag freeeking huge "handbags" (larger than my 55L stroller) and various other not-so-small things plus a huge coat... they easily take up all the space in the overhead compartment across 3 rows.
Now, if only the flight-attendants would step in and enforce the carry-on rules, including the ones about 1 bag+1 coat...
More dangerous =Higher Rate of Incidents or Higher Rate of _Serious_ Incidents ?
Basically, doing a sudden stop at a red light* should at most result in some fender-bender, unless the parties were driving at unsafe speeds and making a very hard stop (as opposed to simply a sudden stop). Driving on a red light is likely to result in hitting a car in the side, possibly the driver side, getting hit in the side, or hitting a pedestrian/biker - all of these are usually much worse.
As a member of society, I'd trade an increase in bent fenders for a decrease in serious injuries and lethal accidents.
*: I hope driving instructors have told people that intersections with lights can change to red, and therefore drivers should be ready and willing to stop. There is no excuse for a sudden stop at a red light, and any incident involving a sudden stop at a red light is due to incompetent drivers.
I actually got pulled aside after a meeting in Texas and told that the use of these types of expressions meant that there is a lie either before or after the expression. Proceeded to give the person a lecture in basic logic, and finished it with the observation that if people in the audience (people from Mexico and the US) fail at basic understanding (and English) it is not really my fault.
yes, target your presentation at the audience, but people running large businesses requesting a presentation in English should be able to understand, you know, English... and presentations... and business... but at least English.
Deduct points for every time you hear "Honestly..." or "Frankly...", for you may be sure that after these words you are going to hear the exact opposite of what they mean.
You can't have a democracy without a republic
Crap, I thought the Scandinavian countries were democracies...

Not to mention the income from fixing 15% of the school iPads every year: http://www.dr.dk/Nyheder/Viden/Teknologi/2013/01/Crashtest_af_ipads_soroe.htm ..or when kids end up spending 2000 euros on stuff "by accident": http://www.dr.dk/P4/Aarhus/Nyheder/Odder/2012/02/02/02134329.htm

We have a gay Italian as prime minister in Belgium - might have changed things a bit.

interesting :)
When restarting due to update it usually starts up with the same tabs. Some pages looks slightly different due to web-apps not having states saved.
Make "Rent of Barium" part of the bill - if you return the Barium, you get your deposit back.

Didn't Ryan Air open up for this, and was told in no uncertain terms to not even think about it?
Perhaps next time someone has to vote/agree on TSA's continued budget....
Was using waterfox, but a some plugins refused to work with it, since it isn't firefox by their definition.
Switched back to 32-bit firefox
"gift" in Danish (a germanic language) means poison ... ...
it also means "to be married"
To most people (Including my Mandarin teacher), the word/term "Chinese" in relation to languages refers to Mandarin.
Sure, he could have been more exact - you could have been less asinine.
Fluffy - 100% real
Is why driving a car into a pedestrian at the wrong time/location (e.g. at a red light) is equal to murder (and rated as such in places).
Yes, the pedestrian is still of worse (dead), but the driver has chosen to kill a person through inaction or lack of ability.
