if you don't like the default UI, install one of the many skins that are available.
I tried, but the non-default ones were worse (visually and/or use-wise) and some even seem to make XBMC (on a clean Win7 64bit Home Premium) even more unstable.
If the average Chinese person is smaller than the average American person, it could be argued that the average Taikonaut is smaller than the average Astronaut - so while the station may be physically smaller, it will appear bigger!
Firewire was (is?) more expensive to implement (or so some articles claimed), which meant Firewire devices were more expensive to sell - something to do with USB end-devices being very dumb, and Firewire end-devices needing some built-in brain.
Doesn't some Android phone come with full Ubuntu installed, for these situations? I think there is some kind of open office application available for Ubuntu, which means that a phone can truly move from a Phone UI/App-set to a laptop/nettop ditto by just sliding it into a case or dock.
Whenever a TV show on survival (Am watching too much Discovery Channel) mentions the solar-still, or related setups, they tend to come back to it not producing enough water to survive on, and much too little compared to effort (at least initially).
When crossing into El Paso (Texas, US) from Ciudad Juarez (Cihuahua, MX), there used to be a sign saying:
"Welcome to Texas, proud home-state of President George W Bush"
So I say at least Texas thinks he is a Texan, and they are proud of him apparently.
Seeing the surgery(?) demonstrated, requiring the patient being awake while they peel away the outer layer of skin on your iris, scares the shit out of me. I know the eye is numbed, I know they are really good at this, that there are computers ensuring precision etc.... but no way I can go through that while being awake!
According to articles online, he doesn't have to go back there to be in the election... and judging from politicians here (Europe), he might not have to show up AFTER being elected.
I'm currently targeting (and mostly hitting) about 2-2.5 kilo fat-loss per week. I think it might be possible to achieve more in a short burst, but it wouldn't be sustainable in a healthy manner.
To get there, I'm now on ca 1/3 the caloric intake that I had before, where my weight was stable, and it is (as GP mentioned) boring. Will currently have to endure it for at least 4 more months, longer if work keeps getting in the way.
As for dropping 100lbs of fat in 1 year, I think is extreme based on the numbers I'm looking at for myself. Most likely there was some water and some muscle-mass in that loss too.

Then I'm glad that I live in a country where the law explicitly prohibits extradition to countries with the Death Penalty......though why our goverment allow and support rendition, I cannot fathom.
I concede that if everyone around you have PCs and flatscreens, then yes, no-one wants them.
Some schools might take them, some charities.. friends/family/acquaintances in other countries... I know people whose yearly income equals my quarterly income, and they'd love a free computer, even if it is Pentium-3 or similar.
Am definitely see a degradation in performance when using multiple units, so if you're setting up 100 thin clients, its not going to go very well:) There are some "pro" units with switches built in, so you could perhaps have 1 per 4-8 devices (group of cubicles), but even then it will be pushing it.
Nah, PowerLine is oki for small setups, not larger ones.
I've got a pile of tech-stuff that I no longer need, but instead of throwing it out, I'll give to anyone who wants/needs it. (was surprised to find someone who had never had a DVD player - well, she does now!)
Could you bring your kids over to teach mine? They are impossible to get out of bed in the mornings, weekend or not, pretty much independent of when they go to bed. (They're like their parents in that regards, I guess)
Yeah, the 500 megabit powerline adaptors are too slow and unstable... or, not really. The 200 megabit ones I had previously were problematic, in that I couldn't stream a 5mbit video over them, but latest standard seems pretty solid. Even decent power-management, so they switch "off" if there is no live devices connected to them
Need to replace 1 (or 2) with units containing built-in switch (3 ethernet ports), but that has to wait until I have more "time".

XBMC is good idea, but I'm not really impressed.
A few weeks ago (5th June, to be precise) a similar thing happened in Belgium. Caused chaos on the railways.
What, SNCB suddenly had trains leave on time?

uhm, or not...

My current favorites are ads for Google+ on Google+.
So, it describes Syria pretty well...

As a Blackberry user, I can confirm that yes - those numbers are in minutes.
Sign me up!
might be that they are only surveying Windows/Mac users, and that those not wanting to "pirate" software are simply switching to Linux :D
Thank you - I thought I was going mad, while watching that episode...

Why would someone go to MacD to get salads? There are places for salads, and places for burgers, and MacD is, uhm, neither really.
I need you to explain me something:
When I buy a DVD, I give them money for the right to watch the content at home, at a time of my choosing.
Why is there then ads on the DVD, sometimes even unskippable ads (Disney...) ?
Am I breaking an agreement by not watching those?

I have a simple solution: Give it away.

Couldn't you have posted this while I still had modpoints?!?
(and: He is right, it is called Football, and the american football is wussyball compared to e.g. aussie rules)
