  2. Features?! on 20 Features Windows 7 Should Include · · Score: 1

Isn't features another way of saying, I want additional software on my machine from Microsoft. That simply isn't the case. Maybe what I want is a basic framework for the O.S. and then maybe I could be able to pick and choose which features I want. I think a feature selector, if you will, would be a great feature.

If I were Viacom, I'd certainly be upset about Google making money off of my property (which is what's happening in reality), but instead of getting into a legal battle with them, why not work with them? Lets face it, Viacom is part of a dying distribution model. I think part of the frustration stems from the fact that regardless of how you provide your content, it will ultimately be uploaded to YouTube. But if that's the case, why not provide ad-based content through YouTube? Ideally, a situation like this makes everyone happy, and I'm sure Google would be happy to work with you. Eh, just a thought, I'm not economist or anything.

I swear - I just don't get the hype. I understand that it's a cool new gadget and all, but I never understood these early adopters who need to have it the first day it's released. I remember back at Christmas time, they had a line just to get into the Apple store! Last I checked, Apple does have an online store... er... unless the problem is that you don't have a computer to access it with, but then I'd recommend buying a cheap Linux machine :-).

Actually - not an entirely correct analogy. A better one would be if you rent out an apartment, and they are using it to do drug trafficking - you might not be liable for the trafficking itself, but your property can be seized rather easily if there is a drug bust.

NOT that I agree - nor do I think any legal precendent exists to govern this instance of wifi theft, just playing devils' advocate.

I'm not really talking about intelligence - I'm talking about core values, I really hope that isn't something that changes with Obama, although it tends to when someone runs for President.

You'd be wrong there. Roman Catholics have no problem with evolution (for the most part). Catholics accept the old testement as pagan stories used to prove a point. They aren't literal at all. If Obama changes his opinions on issues, you KNOW the Republicans will be pulling out the old "flip flop" card from the 2004 election. The only thing we really have is our credibility, I want a poltician who's not willing to trade that in for votes. I really thought Obama might be that candidate. He seems like someone we as Americans can trust. We, in some degree, knew what he was selling wasn't his own words but those of his administration. One in which he chose to serve until he could get out. Again, the fact that it was blatantly obvious that he wanted nothing to do with that administration anymore added to his credibility. Colin Powell also had very glowing words to say about Obama, and I don't think Obama is above picking a disenfranchised Republican as his running mate. Powell actually seems like a voice of reason because he isn't taking sides, he is far and away the best Republican out there right now, and he has actually taken a look across the aisle and said some positive things about the other side. I think he would be a great choice for Obama in his effort towards showing national unity. As a pretty staunch Republican, he's also a deal breaker for me. Although, I generally listen to both sides of the debate. With an Obama - Powell ticket, I couldn't help but for vote for Obama because he would honestly finally be the voice of change in this country, at least for me.

Isn't that essentially the job of the Supreme Court? I like the second idea especially and would propose that the timeframe be 2 years to reflect the newly elected officials. I would also recommend that the laws could not be renewed until a month prior to their dismissal.
