    She doesn't know the difference. Sure, YOU think she's a moron, but consider this, you buy a new car from GM. When you turn it on, the battery, which just so happens to be made by a contractor, doesn't work , YOU blame GM instead of the contractor because you don't know the difference.

    Sure it's a silly example, but from her perspective thats what's happening.

    I'm not all that religious, but just adding to that point, saying our country was founded "under god" in the National Anthem is an historically factual statement. Removing would be denying a fundamental belief of many of our founding fathers.

    In one word, unenforcable. Can you actually imagine a cop hauling someone off because they dropped the "F Bomb"? Just because it's a law doesn't mean that people will be arrested or fined for it.

    I wonder if this had anything to do with MS releasing new firmware that allows you to download the contents of the disc onto your hard drive. Sure, you need the disc to start the game, but the rest is entirely loaded from the hard drive. I find that the decrease in load time isn't that noticable.

    I agree... strangely. As an employee of a company, my conversations are on their systems, using their resources, so I would have to assume that they own those conversations. If the CEO of our company wanted to pull my records, I would have to believe he was well within his legal rights. As such, we, the people, should be like the CEO of this country. They are using resources that we payed for, and they work for us. So, as such, it's time to hand over those records... and pay us millions of dollars a year.

    People need to be reminded of the monopolistic software prison they live in. They don't have to use Windows, and there is better software out there.

    Are you saying they should all switch over to Mac? I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Mac locks down their software just as much as Microsoft. Maybe they are locked into Windows for the most part, but the fact is the majority of people simply don't care. It works for them, and they're fine with that.

    No, and if I was making the point that Microsoft is "awesomer" than Google, you'd be right, but I'm not. All I'm saying is maybe it isn't in Google's best interest to compete with Microsoft in every single avenue.

    I think it's time for Google to embrace OpenOffice.org to take on Microsoft head-on, as CW blogger Preston Gralla has argued for and described how to go about it.

    Doesn't this really depend on whether or not Google WANTS to compete head to head with Microsoft. You don't make business decisions out of spite.
