Why not wrap it up in the BS that is Net neutrality and then they can let the government be their lapdogs footing the bill to find "copyright infringement" like they always have?
I think half the time it's the "I am not going to admit I was fooled" crowd that has to stick to the lies they have been fed. To admit otherwise means they might be full of shit. You can tell them all the facts and how numbers were manipulated, how temps were hen pecked to show warming, how no warming has happened in 15 years, how the guy Al Gore called his "mentor" on climate change actually admitted that green house gases effects have been massively overstated and how the amount of money spent has been wasteful and would be way better spent elsewhere. You tell them that and the only thing they can come up with is "You are a denier!" like that is a actual valid rebuttal. When you have to change the name of what you believe because the actual name is a action that isn't happening, I think you seriously need to look in to what you believe and the actual facts of the matter. None of the "believers" what to do that because their biggest fears might come true, that they have been duped and are completely wrong.
Sorry, but while the preservation of land is about the environment, it is not about the climate. Just like the whole weather is not the climate bullshit passed off as fact one time, then when it's supporting climate change, it's fact the other way. So you can't claim all is about one. But that same token I could go as far to say that buffalo, just like is claimed like cattle, put off CO2 so they have contributed to green house gases. I don't want to see any species extinct but to claim that was all in the name of climate change is complete and utter bull. If anything climate change has done more harm to the setting aside of lands and protecting animals since it is in direct competition for funds with each other, and "climate change" is raking in the money quite more massively then producing parks and protecting wildlife. Hell, hunting has done more in the way of funds to protect species and insure proper management then any climate group around. Add to that all the holes in so called "facts" from groups like the IPCC and you'd have to either be a idiot or obtuse on purpose not to see the scam for cash that the whole thing has become.
Step one: get person to "hack" the white house network Step two: Claim "It's Russia!" Step Three: Stir up media reports about "How safe is the internet really" and "Do we need the government to police the internet?" Step four: Put in place controls that cripple the internet, spies on all Americans, and causes more laws to be written that stomp of the rights of Americans.
Yeah they can track down who is illegally downloading the latest Bastille album but they have these loose "links" to Russia that they claim if "fact!" it is them.
At 200 miles a day, a tesla would not be a good choice unless you like a added level of stress in your day. I know what the number and stats are for range, but those are akin to the MPG ratings on gas vehicles. If you are in the perfect environment where access to charging isn't an issue, you'd be ok, but that's few and far between in most parts of the country. Add in cold/heat effects on range to the equation too. With the price of teslas right now, if you spent that then ended up being stressed about range issues, I am pretty certain it would be the last tesla you would buy. And for that matter, who would spend this much on a car and be doing their own maintenance on it? Not many. I think the maintenance argument is weak at best. If you do regular oil changes (3000 to 5000 miles, maybe more depending on car and driving style) and don't drive a vehicle in to the ground so to speak (never clean it, never maintain it, drive it like you stole it) non-regular maintenance would be pretty much the same between the two. Plus tesla's main argument for not having private owned dealers is that the cars are "too technically advanced" for private dealerships to work on. Does that mean I would have to send my car to California to have issue serviced? I am sure they have some awesome service program that takes good care of the owners in these events, but I am also pretty certain that this is more about control then it is it being "too advanced". I'd say the Volt, Leaf and others have as much or even more technology and dealers can work on them just fine.
I thought "WTF who modded a serious question as a troll"? Then saw yours modded -1 troll and realize what this site was and what made it great has faded in to the blur of the internet. Now mod this "troll" hacks!
The reason Japan has low to no gun crime isn't the law, it's the values instilled in all there. They are more about the "group" then the individual, which is most have saw in the way they run their businesses and the way employees feel about the businesses they work for. Add to the the sense of tradition and honor that goes from the extremely rich down to the poorest of people. Not that this system is better for the individual as I would bet their suicide rates are massively larger then the US, but to say it's because of stiff penalties on gun is fooling yourself.
That no one seems to get this? We have a tiered system now for internet access and it works damn good I believe. I get the bandwidth I pay for, If I want more speed, I pay more. Once you add in "net neutrality" it all turns to a pay for what you use system which will most definitely drive up prices. How the hell do people not see that? This is one big scam to bilk more money out of the consumer in the end. Does anyone really think that Google, Facebook, Amazon.com, and eBay are looking out for consumers on this one?
Let's progressively tax common core till it is out of consumption! We call also do that on the gardasil gate's foundation is pushing on kids in India like lab rats.
Yes because seeing a person that has the symptoms and knowing he recently returned from a country with an outbreak can the YEARS to diagnosis. I mean who has time for all that?
Depends on how you look at it, On a billion dollars that's 1.6 million in taxes, so if a company had 5 billion in earning taxes are 8 million. Doesn't seem exactly proportional, but it's not small by any means. How much should a business actually pay? Does paying a billion dollars on 5 billion in earnings seem fair? Doesn't to me since to make that 5 billion most likely the company didn't use a billion worth of government resources and services to do so.
I like how this is slipped in there, like we shouldn't have any worries because it applies to only other countries data, like domestic spying is all just peachy and not slowing a thing, but that foreign intelligence, that's the REAL culprit!!!
MDOT has "no money" for road repair, but hey, they have 6.5 million for this. Remember that the next time you want more money and to tax gas in the state out of sight.
Because I "trust" a former head of CIA and DoD when it comes to claims on war since I am certain he stands to gain "nothing" from the cost of war. Why not just ramp it up to 100, heck 1000 years? How can anyone hear this crap and think "it's just how it is"? We have government employees that are so corrupt they believe their own bullshit.
The reports are from the IPCC that the AGW people scream from the mountain tops as the definitive source for all things climate change. They didn't to admit that but they had to because THAT WAS THE FACTS. Same panel that had to admit there models used for predictions were wrong and they still won't let anyone diagnose their new models. See, that's not how science work at it's most basic level. You don't state something to be true then hide all the data, have no discussions about it, and set about linking everything on the face of the earth to it. Even the "97%" number is complete bullshit when you look up how they came to that number. But yeah coil back to the last resort actions of most AGW lemmings. Label me, discredit without facts, and try to push me off as "evil" or "not nice"
Next step is to form a link to the Koch brothers like the good little sheeple you've been trained to be. Me? I will enjoy being able to think for myself and have common sense about issues.
When the fuck is science ever settled? Saying so shows your lack of opened mindedness. We have had 3 years of RECORD arctic ice production that has been measured by all the same SCIENTIFIC agencies the AGW community lists as "PROOF" global warming is real and will destroy us all. To ignore and hen peck the facts then say "it's settled "is what a person does when they can not debate the subject and what it their way or the highway, which is as far from science as I can think of. Add in that everything from birth defects to earthquake to polar vortexes that the AGW community claim all are a result of AGW without rationale debate or even any facts to link them. My whole feeling is the whole thing is a scam, and those that believe in it are getting angrier and angrier that common sense in looking at facts by the population at large is leading more and more to see that there is something not right about those that shout people down with a "it's science" chant. The AGW community was fooled by those capitalizing off of it and are now their egos won't let them admit they have been duped. With all the money, time, and resources spent on it, to keep claiming it's a catastrophic levels, how could anyone be shocked people are not supporting these beliefs anymore? It's like the televangelist that keeps asking for one more donation and then they can do their good work, yet the next week they are up there again asking for more and claiming it is more dire then ever.
Should add that even giving away one of these machined guns is illegal no matter what state you are in. Cant be sold or gifted. I also think it's quite a bunch of horseshit to suggest that anyone could just go out and start machining metal like it's as easy as microwaving a frozen dinner.
The whole bullshit of the article comes to the surface in the "In fact, police believe that an AR-15 built from an 80-percent lower was used by 23-year-old John Zawahri last year to kill five people". Police "believe"? It's not a matter of perception, it either is or it isn't and it doesn't take a trained eye to tell if it was. Like I said, this is all a PR stunt with the news agencies on board to push for gun control. That's why the "kit" is $1200 when it's components it contains could be had for around a third.
80% unregistered AR lowers have been around for AWHILE. The 80% lower runs around 90 bucks, around $150 for the jigs to machine it, and another $800 or so for the rest of the parts of the gun. Then you need the tools to put it together, which could get pretty costly, in to the $500 or more range if you want the right stuff, and know how to put it all together correctly so that it doesn't blow you hand off after 100 rounds. Add in trouble shooting it correctly if it doesn't eject shells right, doesn't cycle right or a multitude of other issues with certain tools to need in certain issues, all that cost more money. If you were looking to do this on a big scale, like the FUD article seems to suggest is going to happen, then you would need something a little better then a hobbyist "CNC" from Harbor (junk) Freight.
At $1200 for a lower that has no finish on it and doesn't have the upper with it? This is just another PR stunt by some anti-gun group that cooked up this terrible idea. Shocking how stupidly long it took them to come up with it considering the amount of time the 80% lowers have been around. And for what that's worth, what criminal is going to spend that type of cash and time for weapons he can obtain illegally and cheaper then the one this D-bag is selling?
FUD, a term coined on slashdot that now is apparently the stories they strive to put on the site. Sad common sense is no longer used on this site.

When has yahoo mail ever really been secure? Every couple of years it "Yahoo mail has a security hole because of (insert issue here)".
Quick, give this guy a huge grant and don't ask any more questions!!!

This is on slash dot why exactly?
The two meme's "Child" and "Safety" are something that usually proceeds a bad idea, like 99% of the time.

It does bring new hope to the Lancelot Link party dream of one day holding office.
Anxiety over it? No. The spying itself? Ah yeah!

But hey, I don't have a flashy name that screams intelligence like "Dave420".
