    AuDA would need to remove many more websites than the Conroy parody if it would stand to the ruling that the removal was entirely due to "you do not have the right to own the domain because you business does not have anything to do with Conroy". There are so many cases of domain NAMES owned by companies in Oz that have absolutely NOTHING in common with the business.
    AuDA and Conroy belong in the same pot.

    This is the entire point and you hit the nail right on its head. The problem in Australia? ... Conroy is one step ahead in the wrong direction ... pushed by LARGE corps AND the Christian lobby, of which sucker Rudd is the leader (he just misses out on the small beard under his nose).
    And yes, Conroy is a mean/nasty piece of work.
    And I am NOT proud to be Australian.

    as for stopping ads ... you might as well stop the internet ... this drives the place.

    as for "keeping websites" i wasn't thinking clearly ... have you ever noticed how muck email is kept on google? ... how much detail shows up for a person? ...

    If they do this how do "they" know where to draw the line where things are legal and illegal???

    have to do this to a lot of other "keeping of data" if they want to "be fair", including advertising (e.g. tracking), logging (each webserver keeps logs of who has accessed what), cookies, preferences, facebook, linkedin, online games, google/yahoo/bing keeping websites ... are they for real?

    There is 100% no proof that there is life out there. Period.
    Therefore the assumption is (for now!!!) that we are alone and that we need to take more care of this place.

    My 1980 Golf GTI and 1981 Scirocco GTI could do that doing +180 clicks on the Autobahn, my 2008 Mazda 3 diesel can do 47 MPG. I used to go to Uni in Germany and we did car pooling and we drove Golfs and one Fiesta. All of those cars got below the 8.5L/100KM with 4 adults in the car in the early 80's. I now live in Australia where we have a speed limit of 100Km/h on the freeways. I cannot understand why people still buy cars that are V6, V8 or SVU or use more petrol than 8L/100km.

    *MOST* of the parts of your car CANNOT be repaired while driving ... try taking a wheel off ... then continue taking the motor out and/or replace the exhaust under your car ... change the cooling fluid ...

    * 2012 (do i have to elaborate?)
    * all ice melts, everything is under water and we need to think of new ways anyway
    * To the melody of Peter Garrett's "beds are burning" we will sing now "... how do we read while our books are burning"
    * Gutenberg came back to this world as annother person and invented something completely new

    Gates said so many things that were wrong, amongst of those a few follow:

      * 640K ought to be enough
      * Linux will not survive
      * windows servers will outclass *NIX based
      * many many more to many too mention

    As for email, a sendmail/spamassasin/clamav/mimedfang setup does a fairly decent job, as many people already know.

    And if it wouldn't be for ALL OTHER software providers creating software for windows including virus/utils/office/OS-utilities working with windows would be hell, that is the part gates created ... not sure why people even listen to him?

    Under normal circumstances and working (having a number of programs/windows open) I do not see the background at all, I see it once a day when I start up the machine ... then the desktop is covered by windows. soooooooooooooooooooooo WHY BOTHER?

    Its an Intel board and they have that in (most of) their server boards : s3000ahlx. I have 3 of those. I use the boards to control my server room temperature (amongst other things) and nothing beats the easy programming of a RS232 port. Additionally I bought some Kouwell ParPort cards to do some other jobs.

    make yourself a linux box not connected to the internet with two accounts, send an email from one account to the other ... make sure you close the blinds so no person can read your screen and keyboard.
