Why do people want Blu-ray in their 360? Just to watch Blu-ray videos? That's all the HDDVD add-on did. It would probably cost far less than a stand alone blu-ray player and now that blu-ray seems to have 'won' it might actually sell.
Standard fire alarms contain radioactive material as far as I can remember and they aren't that big a enviromental hazard. I suspect because people put them up and never take them down, especially when they're broken. Nothing like the feeling safe.
The North Americian Playstation 3 (which contains the Emotion Engine) does support 1080p output. And not only that the North American PS3 supports more games. The software emulation in European PS3s has a large list of games that have "Should play on PLAYSTATION®3 with noticeable issues".

From my POV this case was ridiculous, she was wearing absorbant sweat pants and spilt hot coffee on herself in a car. What did she expect would happen if she spilt the coffee? That it wouldn't burn? Thats like complaining that after you bought sharp knives you cut yourself when they fell on your foot.
The coffee wasn't too hot, it was at the correct temperature. The reason she got so badly burned was because she put it between her legs and was wearing some sort of super absorbant tracksuit.
But if you look at it from the point of view of completely new products, surely the fact that none of the XBox360, Wii or PS3 were being produced before, its a completely new revenue stream for the material suppliers and there is no market share being stolen? I could see how if you factor in the reduced production of Xboxes, PS2s and Gamecubes you might end up with no more than before but surely these new consoles are making these companies more money than the older ones were when they were first released?
Hardly. Anyone that knows IBM made the chips will probably already be aware that it was Sony that screwed up, not IBM. Anyone else who knows that Sony screwed up more than likely wont know that IBM made the chips in the first place.
"Not really. Those "bland name" companies are supplying to pretty much everybody. It doesn't matter if IBM sells 100M chips or Samsung does, unless the industry as a whole expands it's a zero-sum game for the building block companies."
Its not an either/or situation though. BlandName Ltd. supplies silicon for IBM, they make money. Samsung asks them to supply them with silicon, they do, so they make even more money. Just because IBM gets silicon off them doesn't mean Samsung won't. Where, exactly is the zero-sum part?
Actually 250 USD is 197.66 Euro, and when you add on the 21% VAT you have to pay here in Ireland, the total price comes in at around 240 Euro. So they are 'overcharging' by 10 Euro. I suspect what Nintendo has done is to just take the highest VAT rate in Europe (Sweden and Denmark are at 25% I think making the console cost around 247 Euro) and apply that to the exchange rate price. I don't really mind, I suppose it could be another N64 game I could download but whatever I do I'll still end up having great fun when drunk playing with my Wii.

Euler is somebody that no one seems to learn much about, along with Gauss. Lots of 17th and 18th century scientists are relatively unknown apart from the theorems learned in secondary school, Hooke and Boyle come to mind. People like Huygens are also relatively unknown. Even someone like Newton, whose name is so well known, is not very well known outside of his scientific work, which only took up a small part of his life (only around 2-3 years if I remember correctly).
I watched some of the webcast yesterday on youtube. The comment was clearly tongue in cheek and was in no way meant to be taken seriously.
Inconceivable Speed USB
Or maybe they have
Surely point 12 contradicts points 1,3,5 and 10?
Like radio shows that let you text in traffic news?
So it's a guaranteed success then?

Obviously, how are they supposed to know what "fucking" is?
Just update the firmware, everybody's doing it!
If anyone gets prosecuted for any of this who the first person they call will be?
They all die in the end.
Naqahdah is real, they're just trying to think of a way to patent its uses so they can keep Cheyenne Mountain open!

Nothing for you to see here. Please move along.

Well its either get into the market and hope you make some actual sales or not go into the market and just have their games pirated anyway.
