Well, the only reason that I assert that the want to run the state is because he's running for governor (above is not intended as political endorsement, just backing myself up:) )
Yes, it would be expected, but you don't see every state's AG suing corporation's like it's going out of style. These recent big press-drawing cases in Spitzer's recent legal orgasm are not the norm for him. He's doing more than he's reasonably expected to to garner favorable press and to great good will among the populace (and just to simply let people know who he is). His recent political ads highlight this. So yes, I expect the AG to do a lot of suing. Just not to this extent.
Spitzer really REALLY wants to run New York State, so he's been suing everyone the last few years. He's the one that nailed AOL for not letting customers cancel their accounts. Doesn't bother me much. All the suits he launches appear to come from complaints to his office, so he's "working for the people" as much as he's in business for himself. Plus, he's suing people that I have issues with myself: spyware companies, AOL, the RIAA. I just might be pushing the button under Mr. Spitzer's name when it comes election time. Hopefully all he's after isn't just the bigger office in Albany.
Like most FOSS without corporate backing, they're probably banking on word of mouth. I've already reccomended this app to people, and they're willing to check it out. All I had to do was describe calling Gizmo Project from Ekiga. It was easy enough for my non-technical friends to do and they're interested in trying it now. And as little as I want them using Windows, I'm hoping the Windows port takes off. Makes it less challenging to get to the less stubborn ones.

It's not always excluded. If a soundtrack listing is contributed, it's listed along the left sidebar. Those involved in composing scores are generally found in the full credits listing. It can be sparse, that I'll agree to. But those two items make good jumping off points for further research elsewhere.
Zonk has been reviewing so many games that aren't so much games but addictions. So is he getting his Sims drunk rather than reviewing stories for grammer for falsehoods? Petting his Nintendog whilst posting a dupe? Zonk, you've got some 'splaining to do;)
Content-free news is an epidemic in the news world buddy, at least it is in the US.
The trick is finding sources that provide rich content. The feed for Slashdot includes the full post text, including the links to TFA. That way, I can hit up the news I want without being tempted to read comments and post replies (I save that for killing time at work, like, oh, now).
Another rich feed is that of the comic strip Goats. Unlike many strips, which only feed the comic title, or the fact that it has been posted, the feed the comic itself plus all their new items. That's one less site I have to check. It's there in my Straw each morning.
So, just like with real news and entertainment, most sources are devoid of content. It's all a matter of hitting on the good ones.
Debian is flat broke, with only $40,000 or so in cash on hand I can only wish I was broke like that. Usually, I wind up eating canned chili for a week, not with 40 grand in my pocket.
(yes, I realize that's broke for a major project, but seeing broke and 40 thou in the same sentence still messes with my head).
"...having long complained of the unholy marriage between the Fed and Intel." Shhh. With the current administration, that's an "unholy civil union." And don't think you can just talk about it that way either. We'll not discuss how a federal institution and a chip maker are living in sin, thank you very much;)
"Of course most of them fail to successfully install ZetaOS on their supermarket-bought PCs."
You can get a PC in the supermarket in Germany? Are these like Uber-Walmarts (giant department store) or like the A&P (larger than usual grocery store)? In the US, we're lucky if we can get a crappy encyclopedia at the supermarket. Those don't run ZetaOS (or any OS for that matter). They are great for propping up chairs though.
Looking at their homepage (assuming you still can, as this is an early post), it looks as if nothing's been updated since November of 2004. The new version is available on the download page, though you'd think they'd post something to the effect of ".70 is now up" right on the front page. I can only assume these cats are looking to keep a low profile, or to keep a static homepage that they never have to touch. Nuances of their site design and motives aside, I'm enticed to try this out.
as to have set these potential students up for this? Sort of an extra "admissions test?" With the rampant ethics violations recently, they may have found this to be a good idea. Weed the baddies out early, not with a tough 101 class, but with a slick ethics test. Yeah, I know it sounds like a goofy Oliver Stone conspiracy theory, but the Ivy League has been dirtybefore. Course, maybe Brown has their admissions department on the line with these cats as we speak (er, as I write and as you type).
Am I supposed to like these guys now? It's rare they say anything that I agree with. Who knows, maybe this cat is the silent minority that doesn't want the broadcast flag and strongly supports boobs on TV.
With Drs. Banner and Samson performing the tests, I'd assume. Assisted by a Mr. Jones, when he's not being annoying. Watch what you say about that Banner guy, though. You wouldn't want to make him angry. No, you wouldn't like him when he's angry;)
Atari's Battlezone appears to be the first example. Released to arcades in 1980, this 3D-esque vector graphics tank simulator was a quarter-guzzling favorite of many- including the US Army. Years before having their own FPS, the Army comissioned special versions of Battlezone to train their tank pilots. This article discusses the game and touches on it's millitary connection.
For a minute there, I though it might have been April 1st already. I was was ready to wait on other funny stories, like Red Hat buys Microsoft or something of the like, when I came to my senses and realized that someone posted a story that simply isn't true. Maybe those looking at the submission pile are five months ahead of us. Poor bastards.
Shouldn't this be from the "pew-pew-pew" department?
Screw your "vaporize-ware" gag. I'll take cheap meme humor any day of the week!
How many star bits do we need to feed these stars before they TRANSFORM into planets? :)

You sound like you could prove that black equals white.
;)
He'd be apt to avoid zebra crosssings then

So I assume this Ninja was last in the sense that the Fantasy was final?

So not only can the XBox be used as a media center frontend, a Linux device and a game console, but now it's a coffin too?
;)
Sniff, sniff? Something burning? Ooops
I think the God-Awful TV show was pain enough, thank you.

Some friend you are, telling everybody now. You've just shamed your poor "friend" in front of the whole internet. Even I feel dirty. ;)

Is that an adult magazine that happens to be anti-UN?

Heh, heh, he said "wang!"
Quite surprised I'm the first to it.
