Yes I RTFA, It is (from what I can tell) a possible amendment the Senator is "expected to try to attach" and "While those provisions are in the amendment Senator Reid unveiled last week, they could easily change today or tomorrow, and lobbyists following the situation described it as fluid."
Sorry, not biting. Given the number of bills and amendments that do not pass, I think this narrowly escapes being described as FUD.
Maybe Jon Stewart said it best: "...you don't seem to know jack shit about computers or the Internet -- but that's okay -- you're just the guy in charge of regulating it."
Or did you sign up with something ridiculously obvious like Mike@gmail or John@gmail
Seriously, this is hard to swallow. I've had my gmail account nearly four years and a grand total of ONE spam made it to my in box in that time. And no, my user name is not even particularly complex.
In fact, I use the SAME @hotmail, (for 9 years) and get a fair share there. Only recently, since they switched to live mail and I've used their filters extensively has the spam dropped off a bit.
But really, what will an affidavit from a dead dude prove? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the little green guys as much as the next guy. But will this spur the Air Force to open Area 51 up to visitors?
No? Well, bummer then because this becomes another in the long history of anecdotes.
Queue all the people saying he only waited until after he died so no one could rebut his story.
Of course there are several other very important reasons, but lets start there. I work for one of the larger Web Hosting companies in the country (we are actually global but that is another story). One thing you don't find in a back lot behind the K-mart is the top ten tier-one providers converging in one spot. The backbone needed to host things bigger than mom and pop websites is enormous and not readily available for most locations.
"which would all be solved by leaving every other rack empty and renting twice as much space."
Um, no. The thermal mass of stacking servers on top of each other is very hard to overcome, regardless of space between racks. You could, however leave a U (the measure of rack space) free between each server (like we do).
"and enough thermal mass in all that air that you can run the AC full blast at night (when it is more efficient because the coils outside are in cooler air) and let the temp rise slightly over the day."
Gee, wonder why no one ever thought of that. Maybe because you have _no idea_ how much heat a room of servers generates? Rise slightly over the day? Surely you are kidding. Adding two stories of empty space you have pre-cooled might buy you a half hour if you shut off the AC. Then you will have an oven, with servers kicking off left and right.
I can go on and address the rest of your points, but the more I think about it, the more it seems I'm responding to Fud.
When opening the print view, you can add each of the steps in the directions individually to the print layout. Simply click on each step you would like (the text itself), and one of those small close up boxes will be added.
Maybe not that intuitive a feature and I never saw any directions mention it, but this one has been there for some time.
Um, Taking a look at my account now, it's at 2869MB of storage and growing daily. (they actually have a ticker: mail.google.com ) I think you are thinking of when they first started?
Oh, by the way, Gmail is also available to everyone now too, without an invite.
I just bought a vacuum online from one company and a laptop from another. I guarantee signing up for my Google account was a lot easier than the forms I used for either of those companies.
Who cares if you need to sign up? It's not like you need to use Gmail after if you don't want to.
The only reason these bots exist is to inundate message boards. The only reason they continue to exist is they actually get people to click the links.
To know there are people out there right now, browsing their favorite blog about fuzzy kittens, reading a comment that says "V!@gra ch3ap!" and thinking to themselves "Well hell, I've been meaning to stock up!"
It boggles the mind.

Can you watch my sig while I step out for a sec? Make sure no one steals it.
Yeah, from the article I linked to it seemed like all of Santa Rosa would use the turbo memory. I've been reading a lot more since then, and have come to a glaringly obvious conclusion.

I just checked my in box again and it has not shipped yet... I ordered the new Santa Rosa offered from Sony (pre-sale only) last month. I did not realize just quite how exclusive it was when I saw it. Then I shopped around and found no one else was offering it.
Seems like a decent deal in a market where most products are nearly obsolete before you get them home. Having this chipset gives me the ability to upgrade to 4GB RAM if need be. From what I hear of Vista, I may just want to do so.
Sorry, not biting. Given the number of bills and amendments that do not pass, I think this narrowly escapes being described as FUD.
I have a life, you insensitive clo...
::sigh:: No, I guess no criminal would like to steal my identity... with a credit score probably in the high 400s'

No, I have not tested nor researched, but I'm pretty sure EVOO will not dissolve latex.

Did you ever actually watch the cartoon?? if there is ONE thing Wile E. Coyote excelled at, it was falling off the cliff!
No offense meant to extraterrestrials of any skin color. Pardon me for using the stereotype to make a quick point. :)

I was going to mod on this story...
You have an IQ of 140? Then you surely know that 140 != twice as smart as 70.

One Card to rule them all, One Card to find them, One Card to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them?
Thanks, but I think I will wait for the next chipset ... that can support ram to 1337MHz.
According to wikipedia:
"an Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) is a seazone over which a state has special rights over the exploration and use of marine resources."
To me that sounds like they _could_ apply that to shipwrecked treasure.
Seriously though, I do. And you are right. That's just wrong.

Thats weird, I find many of life's problems become simpler with the addition of a large amount of ethanol from a small glass.
You must be new here.
