If she is innocent until proven guilty - why does she have to give up her hard-drive and "prove" her innocence? Nobody is forced to prove innocence. The RIAA should be given the challenge, without her hard drive, of proving guilt./shrug (IE: external records, etc.)
How is this modded insightful, it is factually wrong.
"If my three thousand dollars worth of televisions, VCRs, et cetera stop working" You have three thousand dollars worth of entertainment, go and buy the boxes if you need them. You are obviously doing well enough not to expect the government to give you everything you need/want.
You know what upsets me about this whole thing... they should have never had the coupons in the first place.
What it would take to get me to buy one of these

I read around 1 book a month right now, and except for a few series I get most of these from the Library. Since they already have DRM on these things, let DRM do what it does best.. limit access. Let me for a fee (5-10 bucks a month, or.99 a book) check out a book for 2 weeks. After 2 weeks the DRM can function and stop letting me access the book. I am ok renting something as long as it is known as a rental. I want to OWN what I purchase, and as we all know here on slashdot... DRM=You don't Own.
www.einsteinwireless.net A wireless company with no contracts, no sim locked phones. 35 bucks a month for unlimited calling time. No good if you live outside of wisconsin, but at least one company does get it.
Out of place.. maybe. Bait and switch... yes. But anything that gets more butts in the pews is what the church is looking for after all. This is really no different from Bingo for old people at church. Or the quiliting club. The churches doing this are just reaching out to the current generation.
You are testing DC volage here, you don't need an O'scope. If you don't trust your digital multi meter, get an analog meter. That would be much cheaper, and easier to move around than a damned Oscope.
There is also what they call type 1.5. This presents alot like type 2, but quickly turns to type 1. IIRC the former Surgeon General had this type. So alzheimers would be type 5 really.
As a side note this was posted by a person married to a Type 1 diabetic.
As another side note we are getting the new CGMS for my wife some time next week, and my insurance covers it at 90%!
I have had experience with the motorola canopy gear. And IMHO all I can say is "stay away." The boxes require frequent resets, the radios fail far too often, and they are quite temperature sensitive. They do fine once it is cold, or warm or hot.. but when the temp is changing they go haywire. Wish I could offer you a different product, but we have not found a replacement for these units yet.
As some one who HAS BEEN to boot camp, and played AA, I have to say that you are an idoit. If you honestly think AA gets you ready for boot camp I think you are missing a large point of what boot camp is. How did this get modded up so high?
"In fact, I was most impressed with the few probes which altered their trajectories in mid-mission to do swing-bys of targets of opportunity. You need flexible fuel provision to do that!"
So this thing runs on E85?
With all the anti-war sediment in the US right now, I wonder if good ol' Jack is going to jump on this one too. He could sue saying this game leads to the youth wanting to join up and fight the terrorists, and then they get killed.
But maybe not as he has left America's army alone so far...
I have been a happy vonage customer for over a year now, cheap unlimited phone is great. Looks like this could be the start of the end for that. So what is next? Anyone use Skype and like it? Is Skype next to be sued? Could anyone tell me alternative to Vonage other than Skype. I want my cheap phone service damnit!
Who would want to buy some thing that can't be played in thier car stereo, home stereo, disc man, or any other multiple CD players everyone has? Instead you can play it on your laptop (if you have a DVD drive laptop of course), home computer, or DVD player. I really can't see this being the next big thing. And I don't care if this DVD has low quality rips of the songs included for you. Who really wants to buy a product just to have to then burn a CD, or upload to thier MP3 players. You now have to purchase a product, then have all the same hassles if you had downloaded them.

I personally am planning to get a PS2 in 2010 or so.

Posting to get my achievement.

Sounds like to me that the IT staff should be the ones in trouble.
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: [after discovering Private Pyle's unlocked footlocker] Jesus H Christ. Private Pyle, why is your footlocker unlocked?
Private Gomer Pyle: Sir, I don't know, sir.
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: Private Pyle, if there is one thing in this world that I hate, it is an unlocked footlocker! You know that don't you?
Private Gomer Pyle: Sir, yes, sir.
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: If it wasn't for dickheads like you, there wouldn't be any thievery in this world, would there?
Private Gomer Pyle: Sir, no, sir.
Gunnery Sergeant Hartman: GET DOWN!
You know you can't just blame Bush on this one... dems control the majority and all. Not that Bush should have just veto'd this anyways.
Slashdot has adds? Oh yah, adblock made me forgot about things like that.
Having the same issues.

90% of fish like it better in the water than out.

I don't get it, so what if it is 2 years old?

-insert funny comment about how my Wii is big enough to break stuff in the UK-

The real news here is that microsoft admitted to a mistake, AND fixed it in short order. Wish they would do the same for operating systems.

I mean the games name is World of Warcrack isn't it?
