    Currently i'm playing a new game, it just hit open beta about a month ago. Shaiya online. It's a great game for a free to play MMO. Already some hacks have been spotted, but for the most part the hacks are out of view..
    My gripe as with most MMOs is the rate of development. Players always will out pace the game development.. and i would rather have the developers focusing on the game, and not fixing flaws. -as weird as that sounds. Most studios do not have the man power to address issues quickly. -blizzard and the like is a while different story
    This brings up the reason why companies use software such as Gameguard, or even Steam...
    -and i think that unfortunately.. this is the future of online gaming, outside entitys trying to secure the game.

    Back to the EQ GM comment. -Active GMs have been the only way to properly address issues in game. Once EQ was picked up by Sony the GM count dropped, and in game quality did also.
    my 2 cents.

    Exactly what i was thinking last time i was looking into the Storm net. They say there is more cpu power there than any supercomputer.. and its for sale or rent! Microsoft could drop a billion dollars & buy or rent the thing (never happen), then search for a cure for some cancers. .. ..make a great PR campaign

    that was my thoughts as well.. i do not want it to shrink either. I love the thing.. I hope it gets some AI and takes over the net/us/world/universe.

    or how about something like the clearpixil.gif? A watermark, floating logo or similar should break whatever fingerprint they are looking for i would think.

    Our evolution depends on our technology. I think we are to evolve ourselves through all this fun stuff.. "cyber enhancements" to bio-engineering.. bring it. To be afraid of creating new strains of human/animal hybrids makes for a boring world.

    You must not play FPS games. the best AI is another human.
    I want real foliage and environment to hide in, and when i blow my enemy to pieces i want bone fragments to hit me in the eye causing my vision to blur in the proper fashion.

    the person above who was modded redundant has it correct.
    Linux will be my main OS when:

    Games are available.
    Heavyweight Apps such as those from Auto Desk are available and can co-exist in a enterprise environment.
    That said... let me contradict myself a bit.. what does a Mac have that Linux does not? Nothing except some graphics capabilities. -still no games for those trendy bastards either! (and who gives a rats dirty ass about apples anyhow)
    Mac has marketing and a solid customer base.
    My Sabayon systems blow any mac or vista machine out of the water with performance & eyecandy. And it would be hard to mess up an installation...
    Once installed, you can click the live help icon and you can ask some people whatever question you have. -The live help is great. -better than Ubuntus forums in my opinion

    I'm sure they will upgrade the game like all other mods with the release of UT2007 engine. -On that engine flying vehicles like a drone will make sense to develop.

    if the glove were designed with a certain threshold of allowed "pain" -maybe it only crushes your hand slightly, not enough to break bones.. this comes back to how clunky the thing would be..
    If I'm spanking a cyberbooty i kinda want my hand to sting a bit ya know? and yet i don't want to have a 30lbs glove on it.

    On a side note... back in the early 90s prince release an interactive CD-ROM that allowed you to move through his mansion Myst style, watching his videos and clips in different rooms. -That was something the RIAA should have taken notice of back then and copied. Perhaps then with material like that people would be more willing to buy a phucking CD... assholes!
