Mozilla already designed a version of Firefox that's better on Macs. It's called Camino. It's been out for a while, so there's no reason for you to be complaining.
For years, quantum physicists have been ripping off and repackaging transcendentalism, though in a much simpler and basic form. Why not just read 19th century American philosophy (i.e. Emerson and friends), instead of wasting time with these guys trying to wow you with the word "quantum"?
Physics today is all based on arbitrary theories developed to explain observations. Philosophers, at least, use reason and intuition. And philosophers have always been brave enough to question everything.
This could be a problem for software developers. Someone might want to develop a new system or business method and put it out in the public without claiming any monopolies, but now he'll have to worry that a competitor will copy his idea and file it with the Patent Office first.
Why are we trying to be in line with other countries? Aren't we supposed to be better? Maybe they should be more like us. Congress used this being in line with other countries argument to extend the copyright term to ridiculous lengths, and now they want to also mess up our patent system with the same bogus argument. What's the matter with our leaders?
Spitzer, like Hillary, is a fool, putting effort into stopping violent video games rather than tackling real issues. If you want to stop violence in America, work on changing the empty, soulless Hollywood culture.
America has a great cultural history, but our lack of decent leadership combined with the media's efforts to replace our culture with silly, stupid nonsense have created generations without identity or purpose, who end up as psychos or self-indulgent gluttons.
Our present day culture of comfort is disastrous for the evolution of our race. Humans evolve best when culture promotes the pursuit of achievement rather than comfort. Become the Superman, not the Ultimate Man (read Thus Spake Zarathrustra from Nietzsche for details).
Though I was very happy with classic games, like the Sierra suite (King's Quest, Space Quest, Quest For Glory, Police Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, etc.), the Wing Commander games, Civilization I, Master of Orion, Warcraft II, Star Control II, Kung Fu for NES, etc. I wouldn't say modern gaming is any worse. It's true publishers are pouring money into soulless marketing people so there's a lot of crap out on the videogame market (much like the film industry), but some of today's games are truly and unquestioningly amazing, such as Civilization III-IV, World of Warcraft, and Half-Life (I'd say Half-Life 2, but, like any sensible person, I switched to Mac, and stupid Valve is stuck on PC, so I haven't played it yet).
Income tax is wrong and should be abolished.
Tax the property I live on if you want, because that land is really owned by the State (owning property means you're renting from the State). But my labor is my property, and bartering my labor for something of equal value, whether or not it be cash, is not "income," its just a fair exchange. Income isn't defined anywhere in the Internal Revenue Code, but the IRS enforces it against everything it can, and they get away with it.
An income tax is a tax on existence. The government has no right to do that. Tax corporations or property, or government services, but not income.
Oppose the income tax. Abolish the IRS. Abolish the Federal Reserve. Vote Ron Paul for President, 2008.
Shouldn't we finish colonizing Iraq before we spend money on colonizing space? Then we can fund our spaceport by passing a "Stamp Act", so that all legal documents in Iraq have to have a paid US government stamp. We can pass a bunch of "Townshend Acts" to tax all imports into Iraq of basic materials that Iraqis need to survive. The Iraqis will probably be against these taxes, so we'll have to make sure to tax them without representation.
Halliburton is guilty of war profiteering and possibly of acts that resulted in the deaths of many people in the Middle. This is horrible, it's true. But the RIAA is guilty of the far worse crime of suppressing culture, replacing art with marketing, and otherwise preventing real vision and inspiration from being communicated from artists to the public. The RIAA's business model ensures that most of the public will be economically and legally barred from gaining access to more than a small handful of artists, when mass distribution of all music would not add any costs to the RIAA.
Microsoft grows more arrogant and decadent every year. Pretty soon they'll want a separate $1,000 license fee every time Word is loaded from each computer's hard disk into the RAM. It's all in their plan, called The Protocols of the Elders of Microsoft.
Dell has a pretty awful reputation now, with their purely monetary thinking, their horrible, out-sourced customer support, and their exploding batteries. Maybe backing free, non-Microsoft software would be a new beginning for them.
Actually, we should hold ourselves to idealistic standards, but shouldn't run away from our problems. Fight the University! Confront the administration and campaign to make the University a better place. What a world we'd have if people actually demonstrated this sort of loyalty to their communities, rather than just moving somewhere that already suited them.
Microsoft doesn't appear to be anywhere close to woken up. When was the last time Microsoft actually offered something new, rather than copying other people?
Who was the genius that came up with this idea? Has Microsoft ever sold a product that wasn't full of bugs and security holes? Thus ended the British Empire.
It's more of the same, from the people who wanted you to believe that Iraq was an imminent threat to the world. Yes, its the same people who butcher men, women, and children on a daily basis, shoot missiles at crowded cities, drop thousands of cluster bombs into foreign nations, and then play the victim when their enemies fight back with rocks and home-made pipe bombs.
Pretty soon they'll be arresting kids for listening to Marilyn Manson.
Kodak's ink is both cheaper and higher quality than competitors.

It's precisely because the Internet is out of total control that it's worthwhile. Otherwise, everyone would be using AOL.

Democrats = Neo-Cons, and they're all against us. Vote Ron Paul in 2008.
Maybe the principal was just upset that the myspace page drew attention away from his Hot Or Not site.
Sell your property?

The RIAA is a criminal syndicate. The fact that they can afford to lobby Congress to get laws passed in their favor doesn't change that fact.

Don't you mean, "The Non-Planet Formerly Known As Pluto"?

And what exactly would a government know about ethics? I hope they hired some good philosophers to do the job.

Don't worry, you can always copy materials in a jurisdiction where its not illegal, like Sealand.

Yes, the MIddle East will get much worse if Israel succeeds in getting its puppets, Bush and Blair, to attack Iran.
