Yes, I think that "Page Turns" is a much better measure of battery life.
I think that Amazon fudging their battery life estimates less than 24 hours after the new Nook's battery life is revealed is rather scammy on Amazon's part.
As RadioShack has started dropping parts, it has been harder for me to do the tinkering I enjoy. Over the years I have gone into RadioShack only to find the parts that I knew they used to carry are no longer carried!
I have looked online for parts... They are there, however if I just need 1 or 2 parts for a project, it costs a fortune when you include shipping! And it is annoying to have to "Save Up" projects so that I can order enough parts at once to make the shipping cost worth while. OR I have to stockpile parts to save on shipping, in the hopes that I will need them for a future project as well.
If people can't see that they have been re-directed from the site they intended to go to because of a hack or virus, than they will NOT know to NOT log into the site or give it their info!
I WANT the bar there. I glance at it all the time to make sure I am where I think I am on the internet.
I do not want any "other" solutions. I do not want and idiot light telling me the site is safe. I want to verify it for MYSELF.
If it becomes an OPTION to hide the address bar, that is one thing. But do not just take it away!
I hope that there will be a setting to make the address bar always visible.
It is a security risk to hide the address bar. A hacked website could re-direct you and you would not have a clue!
With it hidden most people will have no real idea what website that they are on. Yea you can manually check, but who is going to do that on a regular basis?
Besides that next to the address area are the icons for the add-ons I use all the time. Even with the address bar gone, I will not gain any screen real estate.
Dual GPUs would not be any more expensive than the PS3. Besides if Nintendo wanted to hit a specific price point, they could easily do it. Even if it meant that they lost money on the console this time. Just because the Wii made a profit from day 1, does not mean that they have to do the same with the Wii 2.
I think Sony is still loosing money with every PS3 console sale.
They could easily have a new GPU that will also support the old GPU calls and such. Or they could just put 2 GPU's in it! One for GC and Wii mode, and the other GPU kicks in when you pop in a Wii2 game.
I forgot about the WiiWare emulation... However what the Wii emulates are much older generation consoles (Pre Gamecube). So I doubt that a really powerful processor will be needed to emulate Wii games. And if the next generation console also supports Gamecube, then I suspect they will just toss a GC on a chip in the console.
If any console maker knows anything about backwards compatibility, it is Nintendo.
Why would Nintendo emulate the Wii? None of their other consoles emulate. They all have separate processors dedicated to the other device. The DS does not emulate a GBA, it has a GBA on a chip. The Wii does not emulate the Gamecube, it has the Gamecube on a chip. The GBA does not emulate a GBC, but has a GBC on a chip. The GBA add-on for the Gamecube is not emulation, but is an actual GBA that just uses the Gamecube for the controllers, power and to output to the TV. The SNES Gameboy adapter was a full Gameboy color in a cart, the SNES was just for power, controllers and TV output.
So this new console will probably have a Wii on a chip, or will be so close to an actual Wii that it will just run Wii games. I do not think that emulation will be needed.
The original statement works for more than just purchasing minutes/date/items.
Rent-A-Center caters to poor people, allowing them access to fancy furniture and TV's and such that they otherwise would not purchase because of cost... And yes you can rent to own, but if you do it that way you spend 2x or more than the retail price. A credit card would be cheaper...
But the poor with bad credit can't get credit cards. The "system" is setup to keep the poor, poor. And it is currently moving to make the middle class poor.
You call it "melodramatic language" I call it "reality".
If the device COST $25, AND if I got credit toward free e-books based on how many adverts it displayed/I was forced to see, then MAYBE it would be worth it.
But a one time discount of $25 for adverts to be displayed is not enough. Over a few years Amazon will make far more in advert revenue than $25.
DOES require a license if you wish to transfer music from one machine to another over a local area network. It is just impossible to enforce. They would also prefer if you purchased a separate copy of the music for each device you play it on. One copy for the car, one for your computer, one for each MP3 playing device (iPod, Cellphone).
Basically they think they should get re-paid for the same music several times over. If they ever figure out how to monitor the consumer, they will send a bill to you should you take that CD you played in your home stereo and put it into your car.
NO DISASSEMBLE NUMBER 5!!!
Either Loom or Secret of Monkey Island 1.
Unless you are over 18, then go for Leisure Suit Larry series. However ONLY play the ones that Al Lowe was involved in. The newer ones SUCK!!!

It seems like the easier way to do it.

DosBOX is used by many game makers when they re-release their old games.
If it is good enough for game makers...
I personally use DoxBOX to play some of the MANY Dos based games that I have.
Yes, because Comcast never lied before...
Like when they announced that they do not throttle traffic...
Then later they admitted that they DO throttle traffic...

I agree, that would have been a much better reply, AND would have required more intelligence to do!
Any moron can correct someone, but only someone who knows how to use their brain can roll with it.
Oooo Way to go being a grammar/spell-checker...
And thanks for not actually contributing anything also!
English Nazi. :p
What if the CD has a label on it.
Will that effect this process?
if you consume too much of it.
If you drink too much water you can die, if you eat too much chocolate you can die...
So yes if you want to get "technical" sugar is "toxic".
No, that would be 1 strike per byte of data shared.

How about making all naturally occurring DNA sequences something that CAN'T be patented?
It IS what the music industry wants/requires. At least at first.
I suspect that the RIAA will do what it has always done. It will sue, and if it might loose it will drop the suit, then sue again... Rinse repeat.

You can start with the new re-launching of the series from the BBC.
However I felt like going Hard Core. I have watched every episode from the beginning through the 2010 Xmas special.
The best starting point is any transition between doctors. Do not start 1/2 way through a doctor, you will be a bit confused.
I agree. If smartphone apps can tell you about the registered sex offenders in your area based on public info, then this falls under the same this.
All info can be used for good or evil.
