  5. Where are the lawsuits? on ESRB Revokes San Andreas Rating · · Score: 1

How long now until every parent that was mislead by the ESRB rating allowed their minor children to purchase the game, and later be subjected to the pornographic material. Rockstar should be 100% liable for those damages. Not that the game wasn't already out their on the edge of what most would consider morally acceptable.

  6. Several Choices on Network Intrusion Detection and Prevention? · · Score: 1

There are several choices out there. The one I typically like to install is the Checkpoint Interspect. It does a lot of the nice IDS logging and analysis, while also being able to stop the attacks as they occur. Instead of sitting on a span port, it is an actual gig capable bridge. Most people deploy them between lan segments and core switchs to prevent worms from spreading accross their lan. ISS also has the RealSecure products, along with the Proventia line of appliances. Check them out.

This would be most excellent. I would either wear armor everywhere I went upon my noble steed, or start to where my Jedi cloack everywhere. I can't decide which. There needs to be a StrongBad Email regarding this.

  11. No Loopback Nets? on Ready or Not, Here comes Windows XP SP2 · · Score: 1, Interesting

SP2 is evil. It kills all the loopback ranges except 127.0.0.1. Very recent releases of SSL VPN programs like Nokia Secure Access System are unable to deliver most of their port-forwarding based resources. It would be nice if their was a way to shut off that protection!
