I was going ot be a smart arse and say 'What, like this? followed by the symbol. It shows when you enter it (alt+0128) but not when you preview the result. Bizarre. Might be a font issue though as you enter it as Courier but it's displayed as Ariel.
>help fix European budgets
Hardly. 1Bn is a drop in the ocean compared to the hundreds of billions being spent across Europe (and elsewhere) shoring up the economies.
>I've heard that the estimated budget was $100 million. So they've made $80 million over that...
>so what is the problem exactly?
The usual rule of thumb is that a film needs to make 2.5-3 times it's budget before it's profitable - that allows for everyone in the chain, cinemas etc to get their cut. As such, Watchman needs to make around $300m before it makes the studio happy.
Having 'Remix' in an operating system's name is a big turnoff. It immedietely marks it as nerdware and is going to cause most 'normal' users to balk at the idea of going near it. Sometimes Linux really does shoot itself in the foot.
>WTF is scarsam anyway?
They were thinking of 'Scar Sam' - a character in the game they were playing whilst typing. He'd just left the level, hence 'Scar Sam off.'
That a professor can use words like 'repurposing' TBH.
Back on topic though, I was probably addicted to them when I was a teen. I even used to hop on my moped and whizz over to the arcades in my lunch break when I was at work then spend hours on my Atari 400 in the evenings. All my money went on games (and when I wasn't playing video games I was probably shaking the D6's in a Traveller game). OTOH, I had peers who just spent all their money on getting drunk or buying new albums. Almost everyone, especially at that age has something that they really get attached to. That's not the problem. Making sure you ALSO do the important stuff is the key.
I'm glad you pointed that out, I thought I was going mad. For those colonials out there, the Daily Mail doesn't have the best reputation for rational reporting. I'm suprised they didn't manage to blame running injuries on foriegners TBH.
"Where's your coding happy place"
About 25 years ago... Back then I could code through the night for weeks at a time producing stuff that looking back astounds me. OTOH, while I know write a lot slower, it's pretty much bullet proof and fits the spec.
This is a 1970's tune that was not that big of a deal at the time....Yes, I graduated High school in 1976..don't try to B.S. me what was relevant then....I know better!
Maybe in your neck of the woods but in this country (UK) it was massive right from get go. It was number one for nine weeks over the all important Xmas period and returned to number one later - the first single to do that. In 1977, only two years after its release, the British Phonographic Industry named "Bohemian Rhapsody" as the best British single of the period 1952-77

>and in many cases, people don't want to see that.
Speak for yourself!
>we could ask the French how to build a successful supersonic passenger jet,
If you mean Concord, that was Anglo/French.
Yep, I remember the old CRT killing one. There was also a poke you could do on a CBM Pet that apparantly friend them.
All it does is mess up the OS - the hardware is fine, hardly a 'nuclear option' or 'self-destruct'.
A) Wrong story, you want the other one.
B) Everyone *I* know calls it Lego singular, Lego plural.
>there were certain protocols that we had to follow to make sure the data was compromised
There's your leak right there!

I'm holding back installing it as there's still a bug (apparantly) that stops media sharing working with WMP11 when you install IE8 on Vista.
>I'm guessing you're not from Europe...
Yet.
No, he meant 'business'. I've seen them there, calculators in paw, piles of paperwork, consultants, the lot.
Don't you mean a grab bag?
>Yes, there was Wii Music but that fell pretty flat
I heard it was A Flat?
Sorry, I meant the TV series, Firefly.
>Still - I'll bet that DVD sales are good.
Yep. It will be Serenity all over again.

Surely not? I thought US law was global?
