Yes absolutely. It's not just GAB. There are a bunch of censorship free platforms that are for one, seeing themselves as being on the same chopping block and two, all of them combined is non-trivial. Further, it is not just the businesses in question and there direct need tied to such services for their profitability, there is a hoard of users getting sick of this shit. It is the perfect time for alternatives to rise up and take a shot. Said companies are probably discussing among themselves starting competing services. A few years down the road and those services will be widely known. What we are seeing is innovation in action. Take notes while everything unfolds over the next few years.
No worries, the Giant Tech companies are not responsible for what people say on their platforms. Really this is good news. Gab itself was an innovative reaction to increasing censorship. For that matter BitChute and a few others. So fuck PayPal and Stripe. This will result in competition for them. When you shut something that large out, customers are already waiting.
All I saw in that video was a bunch of no longer applicable OS shit memes. The video provided no compelling marketing. I saw nothing of interest. What was presented looked like a social media consuming toy version of a computer. I am on a Windows 10 machine with an ancient FX 8350 and 16 gigs or ram. I wait for nothing except perhaps for compressing and decompressing multi gigabyte directory structures. I have Linux on an old i5 laptop and it is as fast as it can be. For android I have an S8+. For my serious computing needs I really do need 3 machines for my work, expect for the Android. Half the time my SIM card is in an old BlackBerry Classic because it suits all my mobile needs.
Why would I want this? That is what the video should have covered.
Back then I was playing with every distro I could get my hands on in the backs of magazines. Caldera, Turbo, etc.. Although with then I moved up to a Cyrix P90 or something.
I remember my first Linux install. It was Slackware ages ago on a 486 DX50. I stayed loyal to Slackware for a very long time. Perhaps it is time to take another look.
The Jovian system is all around fascinating. With all of the moons and Jupiter's large EM field, it's a great future destination for humanity. Build a few thousand (big) rotating habitats over a couple centuries and all-in-all I could see the Jovian system supporting more human life than currently exists on Earth. Well, at least in the far future (if we have one). Especially with the asteroid belt being between Mars and Jupiter. Not that it would be easy.
It's fucked. However, as someone who sells on the platform and therefor spends a lot time there, it goes down more often then most people realize. Lots of reasons to expect they are using some super ancient code. The platform is all around not impressive.
As long as it is not ad subsidized. I got so sick on tired of the over complexity of my S8+, I recently started using an BB Classic. I still use my S8+ for product photography, and while I expect this phone to have a not so hot camera, I'll invest in a "real" camera if I have to. I need: Dual factor navigation Basic web browsing Decent email and txt apps A simple, straight forward, no clutter interface
Have you tried an osmotic laxative consumed (entire thing) over the course of 3 hours along with a couple gallons of power aid or similar? I also have Chron's Disease and I had to take this last time I had an (emergency) colonoscopy. Something like this:
While I don't 100% agree with some of what they removed, I have Windows 10 on a couple of low powered tablets. It runs well. As far as a tablet is concerned I don't think I will be missing system management tools. Although the registry editor is really lightweight. I noted an argument about dropping Cortana. That would not make sense for a tablet. Although as someone running Windows 10 on tablets with only 2 gigs of ram, I am more concerned with reducing what get loaded into memory by default than over how much mass storage takes up. As far as tweaking Windows 10 startup as an end user, that is beyond a lot of people no matter how simple it may be for some here.
In one thousand feet you will be at your... take a u turn. Head south and and go left on a street you already passed. Take a u... you are at your... u turn.
But not THAT great. I used it exclusively for 6 months just to get a solid feel for it. Edge is definitely a worthy contender. With some patience on the part of MS, it will organically gain greater market share. So far, it deserves it (OSS politics aside). But it shoving down peoples throats? I thought MS was growing out of that flawed marketing ideology. This will not create more Edge users. It will create more Thunderbird users and other alternative email application. As for my own installation of Windows 10. I use Thunderbird and Firefox anyhow.
I really truly want an alternative to a smartphone. But still have to be demanding on a couple features. A qwerty keyboard is likely something I would consider a must have, but would be willing to give something like this a try despite its lack of one. As far as the OS, whatever. I am curious about the app store. i don't use facebook but if people somehow magically got on board... Yeah, not likely. Chiefly I need a high end camera. I use my s8+ for a lot of business related and even product photography. Similar with video. Safe to say this won't meet that standard. As far as apps go, It bugs me that most of the apps I use, outside of a phone, are rendered in a browser. It would be nice if high end cloud services could be better designed to render on a mobile browser over installing an app. As far as my S8+ goes, I don't use over 99% of the features that make it a so called smart phone. To me it is a device for texting, email, navigation, and a high end camera. Those things shy of apps that are otherwise rendered in a browser on a desktop. Safe to say, for those few features I depend on, I am not going to be upgrading for a few years. It is an awful lot of fancy hardware for something that gets such limited use. I still lament the failure of BB10. With the exception of a not so hot camera, the Classic is still the best phone I have ever used.
Watch CNN much?

Back to Buzzfeed with you! Besides, your lunch period is probably almost over.
If not. Get with the details.
Are you an actual CNN employee?
I like dinosaurs a whole lot.
Back then I was playing with every distro I could get my hands on in the backs of magazines. Caldera, Turbo, etc.. Although with then I moved up to a Cyrix P90 or something.
Pretty sure you can find info on systemd in the Book of Revelation.

That is getting close to about it.

https://www.amazon.com/Basic-C...
Be warned, it will shuttle every last bit of fluid you consume with it directly into your colon.

Seriously, this is like Antifa trying to explain fascism to itself.
I am willing to wager a lot of "users" on facebook are not human at all.
Of the beast. Considering the two.
I am from the future. I came back to backup my files. In the future, I am the last to find out.
For giving me the heads up yesterday with just a few hours to spare.
We have those as well. Well, at least in my neck of the woods.
In one thousand feet you will be at your... take a u turn. Head south and and go left on a street you already passed. Take a u... you are at your... u turn.
Certainly contributes to angry driving.

Purely random musings ahead.
