Oklahoma has one of the worst legislation faculty in the county. Also, their salary/compensation for senate/house memebers are realtively higher comapred to other states in similar economic situations (not that the economy is HORRIBLE here, but the cost of living is low, but they get paid higher than perhaps some states that a bit higher cost of living).
couple that with this being THE Bible Belt (we have a many churches as we do convenient stores, and we have a LOT of convienient stores), poor education, and crappy voter turnouts... the government does almost as they damn well please.
What they are doing with video games now, they tried with comic book stores and game (RPG) shops 10-15 years ago. Once they started creating too much of a ruckus with citizens (the OK goverment, that is), that crap eventually got beaten down into obscurity. Now we hear VERY little about it any more (probably now people with the jobs and some sort of income and intelligence either were more likely to 1) still play RPGs and read comics OR 2) at least USED to, but not anymore, but understand those who do OR 3) didn't play or read, but never saw the big deal around any controversy attributed to such mediums AND they have some srot of voting influence these days)
Luckily things DO get thrown out as unconsitutional... but until then, OK will be dicks about it.
Fallout 1 & 2 are excellent replayable games (Fallout 1 has the better story while Fallout 2 is more replayable, IMO). Unfortunately, they haven't stood up to the test of time for most of the gaming world. Still, definately a classic to a decent-sized (if not feverous) fan crowd.
Wow, you think non-developers or non-IT types can DO or even want to MESS with de-normalization? Not the most easy task for the average "office" user to do with an already large, pre-existing dataset.
Honestly, most everyone I know (with consoles) buys a lot of pre-owned games. "Opening up to damaged media"? Thank god most of the places here have some sort of money-back/exchange gurantee on even thir used titles (some places better than others). So, at least in our neck of the woods, the risk is VERY minimal.
...but not unexpected for a 5-to-6-months-before release demo.
It showcased what they wanted it to do - they could have cased in hardened dog shit for all I personally would have cared:)

Apple Sues Creative

This is very true... I have used the same SB Live 5.1 to mix music with for the last 5-6 years without any problem. I looked at getting an Audigy at one time and finally thought, "Why? My current sound card sounds just fine and the mic-inputs record pretty darn clean!" People would argue the, 24-bit capabilites of newer cards, but for my pusposes all my music is composed completely with softsynths and samples and sequencing, if i want to mix to 24-bit that is the function of the software. And CD music is only 44.1khz / 16 bit / stereo anyways.
....*BUT* after working in their north american web development/eCommerce team for almost 2 years, I can tell you this: management is a mess, pay is bad, and they will try anything to sway competitors and market share.
ever since sound cards have become commodity, Creative has slipped in revenues (for the most part). their products are decent enough (IMO) and affordable, but I think their whole legal and marketing team needs to be axed.
the counter suit from apple? i am certainly NO apple fanboy, but if you play with fire (creative), expect to get burned.
I seriously doubt they could pull off a full-featured MMORPG without any sort of monthly payment structure. The reason their online service is free now (for the DS and eventuall Wii) as it only sets up relatively-simple multipler matches or data gathering for an single instance (AC towns). However, running a "world" that never rests with 1000s upon 1000s of players requires a lot more maintenance, hardware, and cost.
Well, OK, Runescape did it... sorta. They MIGHT be able to do it. I just don't see it happening anytime soon.
It was definately developed with mass-marketing in mind, however. Note, however, that the designer of the first Pokemon games wasn't necessarily thinking this when he thought of the idea, but you could better believe Nintendo was...
SNK has confirmed they are planning MS6, but only said the the Wii is a possibility and the 360/PS3 is out of the picture now. But a Metal Slug Anthology will be available for the Wii, supposedly.

3D HUMAN CELLS now power the Sony PS3 "Evil Incarnate" Edition
apparently, i TOTALLY suck with sarcasm on slashdot
;) " all the time, however
i just hate using "
... because the without ALL the content unlocked immediately, games are just dull and boring and no fun to play *geeez*
I guess they make enough bling selling to the user-base demographgic as is....

or play DDR with friends??
*roll eyes*
Well, HD-DVD is already out on the market... so let's see if they can go for cheaper.
Wait, it's Sony...
Closest game I have seen that i think is still available is at http://www.shrapnelgames.com/gilligames/Space_HoRS E/1.htm
Apparently this game was directly influenced by M.U.L.E.
Hell, a lot of people say "I'm going home to play " and never ever hear the console name in the uttered phrase
Not wanting a system solely for it's name is the most retarded reason ever NOT to buy such system
now now...
360s are more than likely for people who own $3K TVs
BC = Backwards Compatibility

probably meant impulsively
but... i got the gist of what was said
Is THAT what they're calling the Columbine video game?
What's next? Eric and Dylan Superstar Saga?

Still, it *intentionally* kills, correct?
Or at the very least cripples, yes?
And if not used for that, it is used, at times, with the threat of killing or crippling to gain something else.

I like creative's players....
