    Yes, but an EU treaty or law isn't binding until the member has taken it up into their own legislation.

    Ireland ratified the Treaty of Lisbon on October 21, 2009 (Dáil Éireann) and October 22, 2009 (Senate). Presidential assent was granted on October 27, 2009.

    What trial? Was there a judge involved?

    If you don't pay your taxes, there doesn't need to be a judge or trial to collect those back taxes.

    Apple could fight this ruling at a hearing, in front of a judge. But they know they'll just lose.

    It's three double standards, so I think it should be 3^2 standard. Though I suppose you could make a case that it should be binary, so 11 standards.

    I love how all of a sudden the Democrats are flag-waving patriots skeered of teh ebil rooskies.

    He was on Russian.State.Owned.Television. As in, owned by the state. And then claimed he didn't realize he was on Russian state-owned television. The guy who can "read body language" couldn't figure out that "RT" stands for "Russian Television"

    I want you to think for a moment what would have happened if in 2008 Barack Obama had gone on Russian state-owned television and trashed George Bush's foreign policy. Butt-plugs like you would have been screaming for him to withdraw from the race and be tried for treason.

    the abysmal security in place is down right embarrassing. and we all know how much the government likes to silence the messengers.

    Lee County Florida is a Republican country, and the current Supervisor of Elections is a Republican. They're a district that had tons of issues with their elections. If you remember stories about people having to wait 6 and 8 hours to vote in the 2012 election, but those came from Lee County. They shut down early voting in an effort to help out Mitt Romney, but it backfired. Then this Ms Harrington, the Election Supervisor, decided she was going to buy a bunch of iPads and use those in the election. Of course, it all went to shit.

    Florida has had a lot of issues with voter disenfranchisement, election-rigging and outright fraud. Remember Katherine Harris?

    High and low are relative terms, knucklehead. "Low income" in Canada is about a 25% higher actual income than "low income" in the US.
