That's a good idea until the creative accountants (a la the music industry) rig the books to show that the idea has been losing money. There goes the retirement.
I won't be impressed until every meeting that doesn't involve state secrets is recorded and shown on youtube. Then it'll be interesting to see what kind of back-room shenanigans our "representatives" are involved in.
The new coating is produced in a one-step process, in which silicone in gas form condenses onto the fibres to form nanofilaments. The coating can also be added to other textiles, including wool, viscose and cotton, although polyester currently gives the best results.
I dunno, the article's description makes it sound suspiciously like a coating to me
not to be a google-apologist, but to be fair, why is this google's fault? i would bet that the one-google-terminal-per-library is a stipulation that the publishers insisted on.
google could have gone to court with this and lost and we'd have... nothing. at least now, there's SOME access to all these out of print books.
While these emails have been of better quality than previous disagree mail posts, how do any of the current batch, you know... disagree? All three seem to be requests. Maybe they should just rename the entire section to "Feedback" or "Reader Mail".
There's no reason that these utility boxes can't improve the aesthetics of the landscape. AT&T and the like should just sponsor local artists to decorate these boxes. I don't know how well this kind of camouflage will work for neighborhoods, but for around town, it's actually pretty neat to see these little works of art on otherwise utilitarian objects.
What about the unmarried and otherwise single men? Should there be any sympathy for them? What about the plaintiff? Nowhere in the article does it say that he was married.
So why not just set up some porta-potty type collection units in a few restrooms, with the urinal draining to a refrigerated storage unit? Why ask people to pee into a bottle?
TFA doesn't say if women actually preferred, even subconsciously, these "bad" traits, or if the study just found that guys who exhibit these traits had more relationships. I wonder if it's a minority of women who gravitated to these guys.
And since these "bad guys" lean towards short-term relationships, I wonder if it just means that these bad guys are all sleeping with a smaller subset of women since they don't seem to form lasting relationships anyway.
Misleading article? Misleading conclusion? I'd like to see the study.
Not all the women I've known and dated have had this tendency. The ones that I HAVE come across don't get any sympathy from me when they come complaining.
according to their site the 3D effect works for multiple views. whether or not each viewer sees a different perspective is unclear, but wasn't the Wii hack for a single view?
if all six billion people on earth used hand calculators and performed calculations 24 hours a day and seven days a week, it would take them 46 years to do what the Roadrunner can in one day.
if those calculators were RPN, it would take only 32 years.
The US still has better internet access than much of the third world. Comparing our internet access to third world countries is pathetic. Why don't we have better internet access than ALL of the third world, if not the best internet access, period?
PPS - I only set emacs mode for my ksh session. I only edit files using vi. Just wanted to clear that up. And I'm looking to raise the child(ren) as a dedicated couple...
He's already alluded to the making of children function. But if I were a potential mate, I'd like to see his child(ren) function before marrying. What is REN that is being passed in and what is being returned?
But seriously, unless SHELL is his passion, I think as a couple, he'd better off looking for another criterion for a mate. I've personally found that being too similar to my mate makes for a stale relationship in the long run. But that's just me.:)
it's right here! [NSFW]

Exactly.

i'm just sayin'...
Brilliant. That would also reverse this trend nicely.
GO McCain/Palin!

Here in Ann Arbor, city development officials have asked local schools and artists to paint fire hydrants and traffic control boxes.

Except much shittier... Oh... and YES, I quoted myself!
Or you can combine traditional artwork but redone in a "geeky" way. Take something famous and recognizable and Rasterbate it.
but where does this leave me?
Google says otherwise

I love the smell of space in the morning. It smells like ... victory.

It's almost as vague as saying strength of ten men or something like that.
except copper's not so cheap anymore.
