You have no fucking idea what you are talking about. For example, the gravitation of the moon is 1.63 m/s^2, not 2km/s. 2km/s isn't even a measure of acceleration, how the fuck could that even look correct to you?
You know come to think of it, I don't htink I've ever met a single person that uses mc, everyone either uses real GUIs, or real CLI tools...
Also, Icaza is a certifiable jackass. He wasn't so bad in the beginning, but his trollish behaviour concerning the entire mono situation is just too much.
The questions are very general, which actually threw me off a little. I could dream up a scenario that I've committed a major crime and now known about it.... so... am I 100% sure I haven't committed one... well... no!
They do that very very intentionally. In fact, they are lying when they explain to you what the control questions are for.
I've been thinking that this entire time. I just read Zodiac a month or two and the parrallels are starting to become pretty amusing:) I'm particularly interested to see how that stuff with the oil dispersents will turn out.
No, that is just what they want you to think. Why do they want you to think that you ask? Well, so long as the majority of people believe that, they get free money.
A PC is defined by hardware, not software. For all intents and purposes modern Macs are PCs. The only real difference is they don't use the same BIOS deal or whatever, but that is largely irrelevant (and apparently PCs from other companies are looking to ditch it too).
Why not 5 deciliters?:) I don't think "0.5 L" is so wrong, no matter how familar you are with the metric system "one half" is just too simple of a concept to pass by.
I'm an American, and always have been, but I have no conceptual understanding of quarts, ounces, fluid ounces, or pounds. Pints I know well enough, but only because I enjoy beer... Public school taught me metric units very early on, but always assumed I knew "english" units and never taught me them.
Are you kidding? Americans most certainly know what liters are, and probably see them in every day life more often than gallons. With the strange exception of milk, beverages are most often sold in.75L, 1L, 2L, or sometimes 3L containers.
Do you have any sort of sources at all for this? I didn't know that the Falcon 9 was ever supposed to be able to achieve escape velocity. What exactly where they supposedly shooting for? A moon shot?
Anyways, their brand new rocket didn't blow up and acheived orbit the first time they tried it, I think it'd be easy to spin this as a sucess regardless.
Sometimes I wonder if people are so dense even a good whooshing wouldn't get through.

Woooow. Understatement of the century.

If you watch TFV you'll see that he already has that covered...
That shouldn't really be a problem. Your average highschool physics student would probably be up to the task.
The hard part I guess would be making the devices radiate their position efficiently from those depths.
Perhaps if he put his car analogy in terms of another car analogy it would make more sense.
What in the world makes you think insanity like that qualifies as "free market"?
Yours will be too. Nobody lives forever (yet) and as you near the end of your life you too will eventually realize just how short life really is.
And really, tuna isn't going to negatively impact your life expectancy in any meaningful way...
I'll second that recommendation for Accelerando. That's the book that convinced me solar sails are way way cooler than chemical rockets.
It's even available as a free ebook, though I of course recommend picking up a hard copy.
That's the problem genius. Tivo-ization only hurts linux.
Something should be banned nationwide because your wife doesn't like it. Wow, that is some seriously messed up perspective you've got there.
I hope they start selling this stuff in cans. I could use it as vegan repelent.

How do you figure? Hanging up a phone is hanging up a phone, it's not like you need to ask the other party for their permission.
Yeah, but SpaceX is working on that.
If the spin of a black hole can be determined across a black hole, does that mean information can be transmitted across the event horizon?
Politician thinks the rules only apply to other people. News at 11.

Does that really suprize you?
