Well next year the NHL playoffs may end up on g4 or syfy and comcrap may push it to g4 just to get it back on Directv . NHL deal force may force Directv to add G4HD E!HD and StyleHD.
But long term with Versus becoming a more of a main sports channel maybe being coming part of the universal sports sub channel (they had plans to make it HD like as non sub channel). They may need a Versus 2 / extreme sports channel with hunting from VS, WWE from syfy and stuff like ninja warrior from G4 and NHL games when the main Versus / universal sports has a other game on.
This is why IT needs apprenticeships not 4 years in school just to get a job.
You don't need a 4 year degree to get into plumbing and even if there is some school it's a lot more hands on that most CS classes.
The Interns system needs changes like Must be payed and must be real work no office office boy / copy boy / janitor type Interns.
apprenticeships can give real IT / tech skill that are not in books / not in the certification test.
The tech schools are better then the old fashioned colleges with being more hands on and more up to date then other colleges but HR does not like them or people who don't have any degrees. Also community college have more of tech school like classes as well. But the apprenticeships system seems to be better for IT.

Some of the mess with System crashes / poor security is from dev's have to do system admin work as well.
Some of it may just be the rushed 80+ hour work loads if are working that hard to meet the deadline how much tech work is being push to the side? how much security is being bypassed to get things done faster?
How many places have NO QA / other tech guys for testing?
How some of rushed work loads is from lack of staff?
antitrust laws will not let M$ do a app store lock in and apple may also hit that if they go to far. Also the law said that you can hack your phone for any network or any app.

What about download caps that get in the way of downloading a 4-8 GB OS? What about when you have like 3-5 systems and only want to download the os one time and use a disk or usbkey to load it on all of your systems? What about systems that only have dial up and you need to go off site for higher speed downloads? What about people with slow downloads in lots of areas 1.5 meg dsl is the best that you can get. What about if you need to reload the os on a blank HDD?

I have worked on a lot of laptops there is room for a small usb based board to be jammed in there or some systems have ports that are covered by the case or can be made to look like there is no port there. Also some system have mostly side usb ports on there own mini board that can be tied into for a hidden board.
hardware may just be a key / on / off switch switch / trigger switch or just a usb board hidden inside. Some laptop boards have usb ports on the in side or headers / plugs for usb ports. Some systems have unused bluetooth cables / plugs that can be used for this.
