    Looks like I've used a stereotype to combat another stereotype. Only excuse for me is that most of the thing's I know about French people is from working for a company, which makes French webpages. Typically this is done with our French partner. Most of end clients typically insult us when it is revealed that we are not from France. But yes, there are some nice people too.

    I'm an European (from Poland actually) and I'm not annoyed. So no, not all Europeans are annoyed ;) Plus French people typically don't like anybody and Americans in particular, which could explain their irritation.

    It's actually more weird than you think. Everyone who drives slower than you is a wimp. Everyone who drives faster is an irresponsible moron. Most drivers (including me) really think that way.

    It's the fault of subpar developers. I have some of them in my company, tried to teach them, but nothing works. I still encounter some bad queries here and there in their code. Add lack of ANY programming/indenting style and you have today's web programming.

    Only an obsessive-compulsive German would think that making a language indent-sensitive is a good thing.

    Maybe python makers have seen code written by programmers like one of my coworkers:
    if(condition)
    dosomething();
    doanything();
    The worst in this is that sometimes both functions should be contained in if block, but it was overlooked due to lack of time and bad indentation. It hurts my eyes everytime I see it, I'm glad that netbeans has automatic code formatting.

    There is an answer to this: lots of free music in one place. I didn't change my listening preferences, but I don't listen to buyed music anymore, I only use Jamendo now. Sometimes I still pay artists on jamendo, if I find really good music.

    it was a inherently flawed sensor design (showing only whether a solenoid was powered or not, not whether the associated valve was open or not).

    Yeah, they should use extended boolean in such cases.
