    I don't see this being sold in any halfway-large volumes until at least after the other side of peak oil. Until then, it's a nice toy, but it doesn't make any econmic sense.
    Yeah, just look at Tesla Roadster. It's the same miserable failure. Like, they sold they production for 2007 in 4 months. If this thing costs less than $100k, it will have dramatic success.

    That's nothing. In Poland, when you hurt burglar that broke into your house, he can sue you and win. If you hit him with bat and break his arm, you are going to jail (sometimes longer than him).

    For example for render farms or graphics workstations, or anything that requires tons of processing power, preferably on one machine than networked solution. Many graphicians would like it if photoshop would support it. (Pov-Ray already does).

    I would believe that a race can traveel entire galaxy and crash. Suppose they are like us. They WILL have "people" that are not really smart and can't understand ALL the technology they have properly (look at typical windows user). So if it's so easy to fly entire galaxy that anybody can do it, then somebody dumb will fly here to earth and crash.

    http://www.emusic.com/ for gods sake. Almost not lossy (high bitrate+vbr) and no DRM is still better than lossless with DRM.

    Yes, it IS open source. But from DULA (Device User License Agreement) "...This device may only be used with Trolltech's Qtopia Software. You may not use this device in any other hardware/software combination other than in the combination of hardware and software that was delivered to you...". So no, it's not going to run (any) linux.

    It means nothing. I have just returned 1 year samsung 120gb disk with bad sectors for warranty. But still I have seen one maxtor disk which passed away during first partitioning.

    But you can convert it yourself, it's not DRM'ed.
