If my memory serves my correctly, the most sold game ever in Finland, in the past has been one like this. I dont actually remember its name but it was done for "Icecream truck" company and they sold it as a side thingie from their cars. And, it was quite nice game too. It still is. Oh, now i remember, it was called Dropmania.

Also, people. Even in the old amiga days, i remember seeing advertising in the games. Refresh your memories and start thinking of Kickoff. One of the things i was so fond of it was: "Wow, it even has authentic advertisements!". I guess they wherent paid adds then but putting product placement like this into games doesnt really hurt anyone, quite the opposite.

So, yay for good games, with or without adds.

I've been playing Evercrack, on and off, since the day 1 ruins of kunark was released to stores in Finland.

I stopped for allmost a year in same point but have been playing again something around 5 months now.

The thing is, as i said earlier allready, game is what you make it yourself.

I've never had highend character, mainly because of my inpatiance so i dont know how things evolve after +30 levels but before that, all the time its been just mob hunting and exp gaining (far from rpg'ing)... Till now..

After i started playing again, i headed to Firiona Vie which everyone called "Roleplay" server. Well, ofcourse there are d00ds as much as anywhere else and IC is not mandatorying but. Its still there if you go forth with it yourself..

I've now joined one of the respected RPG guilds in FV and since then, (joining took me 3 months because something broke my computer and was offline most of that time) i havent been OOC ingame at all. IC goes on even in the guild boards (tavern) and play is good. Im still *young* compared to rest of the guild but i must admit, as a semiserious roleplayer, things havent been this good *ever* in evercrack..

So, if our EQ experience is lacking, dont make it the truth what you say.. RPG'ing is there and is going on really well.

That folder has some php gallery code and everything runs smoothly.

I didnt really need anything fancy to acomplish this.. ripmime, procmail and and that phpslideshow i downloaded from freshmeat.

I guess i could set him up with "blogging" options too so that he can send email containing just text too so that his blog would get updated too.

What i really meant is that Kylix didnt go to be "VB" or "Delphi" fame in Linux platform..

Reason why i didnt adopt it (even thou i had some experimenting with it) is the lack of postgres (way back in version 1) and gtk clix bindings.. I guess it supports postgres now but afaik no gtk/gnome.

Interesting point in that is that now, gnome/gtk is going to be default desktop in Solaris 9 and (my wild quess) linux side is quite big too even if qt might have more users..

So, hell with kylix anyhow, but sad thing if it vanishesh in such purchase.. If it ever will happen ...

Also, Borland products are competing with Visual Studio series, and allthou i havent used anything from Rational (nor from VisualStudio), i guess MS has data modelling tools just like Rational... Yey! Good for competition..
