There has to be a compelling reason to upgrade to the next version of Windows, and in the case of Vista, DirectX 10, the Playskool-style interface and [continue]/[cancel] thing just aren't cutting it. That's all part of MS's clever money-sucking plan. In the next version the selling point's going to be the lack of those. In fact, I'd wager that was Windows ME's sole purpose.
Of course fewer people are copying them. Most of the people with legitimate reasons to do so don't, out of fear that a terroristic media company has designed the disc to fuck up the OS or brick the drive.
Neither. I gave up 4 hours after installing, realising postgres has no documentation worth mention. That and from what I've seen, I'd rather not be associated with its userbase.
I started getting problems just rapidly F5ing a php script that used an SQLite DB. Can't say anything about PgSQL, because I couldn't figure out how to set that up.
I wish they sold stuff like this elsewhere. I'd have no problem paying £300 for one, it'd make a great router/whatever with the Via chip in it.
More likely if they were a grocer, you'd have to prove you have shit before they stop trying to charge you for its weight in fresh vegetables.
In fact, I'd wager that was Windows ME's sole purpose.
At least it'll be better for the environment than that oil refinery and aeroplane factory covering the other half, right? Right??
Funny because it's completely backwards, yes. MPX was around long, long before Microsoft's overpriced camera hack.
Heh. I think I got (on a P4 + r200) about 20 glxgears windows running before Linux/X started doing strange things.
There's a perfect example. I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone mention them yet.
I think we should come up with a backronym that forces people to stop using this worthless term out of embarassment. I'm not good with words though.
Yes, but we're talking about Microsoft kernels here.
...and don't forget the AOL icons on the desktop.
They've been corrupting users' files for 20 years now, and nobody's bothered trying to steal that idea in that time.
The x8 slot is the same physical size as the x16 slots, so x16 cards will fit in it. Same as putting an 8xAGP card in a 4x slot.
Does Java even _have_ a video decoder?

If you have an infinite number of planets, you'd also have to have an infinite number of stars, therefore the night sky would be blinding white.
Would you think if you were a plant?
I think they _are_ worried about terrorism.
Just look at the amount of effort they put into diverting attention away from their own acts.
Wouldn't just taking the warning labels off everything solve this problem?

Sounds a lot like the advert in Microsoft's "Get The Facts" FUD that got pulled from magazines.
Actually they were hiding the other fifty or so lines you convieniently omitted in your whiny reply.
If they hadn't been running this software, would they have cared about that 651ms delay in the first place?
Yeah, they really need to stop flogging a dead horse.
By the time they do figure it out everyone will be on the next gen of serv^H^H^H^Hconsoles with not an Itani^H^H^H^H^HCell in sight.
