On all the KVMs I've used, this uses a double-tap on the Scroll Lock key. Changing state twice returns it to its initial state. Not that I'm actually disagreeing that it's a fairly useless key, but using it for this purpose doesn't actually affect its functionality.
People aren't knocking RFID as a technology. The application's the problem. I wholeheartedly agree that RFID is a wonderful system for managing inventory. I rather strongly disagree that RFID is a good idea for managing people. After all, the story's not about Wal-Mart trucking their goods past DefCon.
Then there are the good guys, who sit down, don't reformat the drive, work for two hours installing AVG and Ad-Aware, give an hour of instruction during that, and think it's worth maybe $20 and a Coke from their fridge.
All you good guys out there, start charging more. Honestly. You are not charging for work, you are charging for knowledge.
I do. And they pay it happily once I explain that they're not losing any data. Although I haven't used Ad-Aware in a while, it got too bloated for me to want to use. Plus, their installer was all sorts of messed up the last few times I tried to install it.
We have the right to bare arms. PERIOD. That means if I want a magazine that holds 50+ rounds, I can have it. If I want a machine gun, so be it. Handgun -you bet - and NO license if I want to carry. Wear a tank top? No problems.
"Are you willing to swear that you will not break your campaign promises and vacate the office you will be elected to if you do break those promises?"
hell, i'd be happy with enforcement of the oath of office. forget campaign promises
An election should be like a binding contract, instead it is more of a bait-and-switch.
i wonder if there's a list of all the various campaign promises from both sides. we could contact some internet gambling sites and set up odds for how long the new president takes to break 10%/25%/50%/100% of their various campaign promises.

Why does the legality of Revision3's hosted content matter? Your ideas intrigue me and I would like to subscribe to your newsletter. *I* would like to make a few copies of your newsletter.:)
When I first started scanning the stories at Digg, people would cram all kinds of political stories in there, and they would shoot straight to the top. People would whine about it, then be called "fuck-tards" for complaining about it, invited to leave, etc. Finally, Digg introduced more categories, which you can ignore if you wish. Maybe/. is headed there too?
what, you mean like going to Preferences, Homepage, Customize Stories on the Homepage, and setting Politics to not be shown?
whether you've seen one or not, ATMs exist that use touch screens. many of bank of america's around atlanta, for example.
not to detract from your point, which is quite valid. if the technology is unreliable, it shouldn't be used for important stuff. although i've yet to have any problems with BofA's ATMs. *knock on wood*

glad to know we can determine the world's most anything by testing it on .0000000005% of the global population ...

No, they do it as a community, at most Eucharists. Episcopal/Anglican confession hasn't been done away with. Just format-shifted.

How is mid-air refueling a "living pilot no-no"? The military's been doing that for years.

I'd sell my left nut to buy one if they named it that, just to be able to say I had one.
So, uh, does that mean that Hitler bought one?

According to a whois, they're registered in Kenya. And wikileaks.org traces to a web server in Stockholm. Same for sunshinepress.org. *shrug*
Actually, I think you're the only one who knows that.
Still are too, apparently. A fellow I know just went back in for chemo (cancer came back, suck) and they apparently still use mustard gas.
