His point was this mouse is aimed to gamers for uber precision. But the feature is useless to gamers buying this mouse since they already have 50$ mousepads and do not need to use it on glass... What he is missing is that it is about the technology trickling down to everyday mice which will be usefull in the future even if not for the market they are targeting atm the tech is valuable.

I'm just saying, if this werent patented by someone sitting on it and doing nothing. We could have had this AVAILABLE a few years ago now. I sometimes wonder if patents should be reserved to only things that took actual research rather than 'an idea'. I can understand some tech costs millions to research, that I understand protecting. E-ink sure protect that. But using e-ink for textbooks as an idea thats fucking bullshit and should be unpatentable.

Only a company with deep wallets can. So I guess we get to wait. TY for bring up an example of why patent laws suck and hold back progress though. I appreciate the optimism though.

There are many questions that could be asked of most surveys that will never be answered. Many of them could entirely change the results of the survey so It is difficult giving them any credence at all.

Then they can sell their shares and quit :D. After that they form 'The pirates bay' and rip off their old database. It is the only thing that makes sense and doesn't depress me.
