    Some roads in Texas you have no choice but to drive through a checkpoint. I always avoid Texas. Not for that reason, just for general principles.

    Neither is my Kodak. But that would explain why it has to have color ink when I never use color. It has no way to turn color printing off. I suspect the need to print yellow dots is the reason. Or is that my paranoia talking?

    If I have a HD that has failed I pull the disks out and use them for Christmas ornaments. I don't trust sending them back. The rare earth magnets are useful too.

    These planes are huge. Why don't they build the device into the electronics of the plane? It would be a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of the avionics already on board.

    I had a major that required many of the same courses as PreMed. In chemistry, they would suck HCL into the supposedly distilled water supply. They would rip pages out of the only copy of a reference everyone needed to write a term paper., etc, etc. It' no wonder they cheat when they become doctors.

    Transparency can also lead to the good. The Arab Spring started because of the same transparency. Information technology helped overthrow tyrants. What you do with the information makes all the difference. If you are predisposed to hate, hate will be your response.

    No, Michael has consistently missed the market trends. Dell has always lagged behind in technical innovation tying to hit the sweet spot of the commodity machines trusting that he could build it cheaper and faster than the competition. When the competition caught up he was unable to go any lower except to cut back on the very things the company WAS good at: support and service. And guess what? When the service went away so did the customers. I wish Microsoft would go ahead and close the deal and buy him out.
