For a man concerned about draining the swamp of Washington, using two iPhones is awfully wasteful to the taxpayer. I don't really know anyone that needs two iPhones to conduct daily business.
I honestly think no one should be surprised at all. Trump doesn't handle negative feedback very well at all. He is of the type that believes he is right and the world is wrong. This is typical Anti-Social Personality Disorder with Narcissistic Tendencies. Every time someone tries to tell him that what he's doing is wrong or illegal, he tries to undermine and discredit them. Trump has constructed his own reality in which he is a living legend. It's hard to convince someone whom does not have a complete grasp on reality otherwise. In his own mind, Trump even rationalizes his own failures as successes of a sort. Whether you think this is flamebait or not, it's actually psychology.
If you're going to target T-Mobile for false advertising, you might as well go after a whole lot of other corporations as well. Advertisements are well known to stretch the truth. I have T-Mobile and it is the best bang for your buck, by far. It's not the best unlimited network and it's not the worst either. If Ookla and OpenSignal consistently report higher speeds than the others, I would call that a pretty resounding endorsement.
Veganism is mostly an urban movement anyway. Human beings are omnivorous! Which means that we are meant to consume animal protein and vegetable protein.
I knew it was too good to be true but I milked MoviePass for all it was worth. When I was recovering from surgery, I literally saw a different movie each day at the local Regal Cinemas which participated in MoviePass.
The next chapter in my life won't be to move to another area where there is more government involved. After all of the shenanigans with the Trump and Republican Party, the next move I make is to the interior of Alaska; somewhere far away from both people and government. Why would I want to move to some tiny, potentially crowded makeshift island to have even more interference in my life? As I get older and learn more, if you want true freedom, you must go to remote areas furthest from civilization. Then you won't (well mostly, at any rate) be bothered by government or people.
I am more surprised at the lack of data that Apple has collected from the author of the article. Apple may care more about your privacy than the other companies because it could certainly choose to scrape more data from your service usage and sell it as an additional source of revenue. A 1/2 dozen spreadsheets worth of data is probably not all of that useful beyond debugging and software and hardware improvements.
Sounds like the cookie monster of the cosmos. By the time a lot of the light from the stars reaches us, the star could already be dead or consumed. Astronomy never fascinated me all of that much but the sheer size of the universe is simply awe-inspiring. The light that we see from these distant stars could be coming from dead ones and we would never really know it. That, in of itself, astounds me.
If you want to lead a public-facing life, you better be prepared for the positive and negative publicity. The media is a business and the MBA-types know that if a story contains death, despair, or destruction, it will attract more viewership/readership allowing the network to charge a premium for advertising. Is this messed up? Yes, it is. But Elon Musk chose this life for himself so he has to take the good with the bad like everybody else. He does not get a free pass because he's wealthy. He's not better than you or I.
It's an abjectly stupid move but leave it to corporations to do dumb shit just for some manager to justify their jobs. As another poster wrote, "It will be back."
This isn't good at all. Once this cryptocurrency bubble pops, it will make the real estate bubble look like a tiny soap bubble by comparison. If this happens, and I am not religious, god help us all.
They're a foreign firm. Who cares? The damage is done. There are people out there with fucking chainsaws and the Justice Department is going after Cambridge Analytica. Is anyone else sick of this? Yes, Cambridge Analytica fucked up. Ban them from doing business with American firms and slap a huge fine on them.
Your data is being harvested and sold so you've got no expectation of any kind of privacy. There is nothing free or altruistic about these urban internet offerings.
There are just some folks that will believe anything is a conspiracy. They believe science and the world is out to get them. Thankfully these folks are the lunatic fringe and most people understand this. Earth is a sphere, the debate is long over.
I am with you. It's splitting hairs. Call it Linux or call it GNU/Linux. We've got people out there with chainsaws and they're are people igniting flame wars over a fucking name? Wow, shaking my damn head.
Gone are the days when a corporation would acknowledge a problem and fix it. Now it takes lawsuits to get anything done. It would've been cheaper for Apple to acknowledge and fix the issue. As another poster stated, the 2nd tier of Apple's support is the class action lawsuit.
Richard Stallman is a tool! I am sorry to say it but his radical advocacy turns a lot of people off. I can say that it turned me away from any interest in Linux whatsoever. I learned Unix on OpenBSD and had some curiosity about Linux but no more. I am happy to be strictly a BSD guy. If it isn't Free- or OpenBSD then I could care less about it.
I am hardly shocked. Law enforcement suffers from continuous mission creep. They always have and always will.

This just confirms my belief that human beings are essentially parasites. Am I an asshole? Yes, I am.

Steve Jobs famously called bullshit on this slogan. Of course that was the pot calling the kettle black.

The world is getting overpopulated so any drop in the birthrate is a good thing.

Suck it Comcast, Verizon, AT&T, and Charter! This is what happens when democracy works. It's rare but it works.
They're a foreign firm. Who cares?
Those of us who don't want them do it again.
Give them a billion dollar punitive fine and it won't happen again.

This a really sleazy move! I think I smell a class action lawsuit!

I am a fan of Thunderbird! It works well for 90% of use cases and it has good integration for Lightning for calendars.
