Don't know if it's patched but I tried it last night and it looks to be a conflict between DingleBerry and the Blackberry Desktop Manager. When one accesses the playbook the other can't see it. You also need to install the 2.0Beta before doing anything. Actually I look of it better than the production one.
However with broadcast TV I might stumble onto the big bang theory and leave it on a few minutes and find I enjoy it. Then I can go download the rest and watch it marathon style without commercials if I so choose.
Watch the first season then turn it off. It turned into the Sheldon Cooper show and is starting to ooze more and more estrogen that it needs to move to OWN channel. I always believed when a show starts introducing new characters it is time to end it.
Don't expect Android to be loaded onto it, RIM has always used very secure locked bootloaders.
So did the PS3:) However I don't know how much of a demand in general there will be compared to the PS3 so you are probably right.
On the upside, OS 2.0 already has MKV support. It's in the developer beta.
Sweet, that is one of the big annoyances for me with it since majority of my stuff is in mkv. If they fix that the only other thing I would love is the ability to run videos from a network share.
I picked one up on Thursday and had it price matched yesterday. Response on it is quite slick and the OS isn't bad. Miss a lot of the gesture functionality that you get with Android but I am not heartbroken especially with the February patch (assuming it turns out ok).
I am actually quite happy with the size. Although the larger size would be good with things with small fonts (i.e. comic books), full screen video is fine and I could see holding a larger screen for a long time (and typing) would get tiring. The lack of (decent) apps is probably the biggest detractor but that comes with time assuming this huge selloff works for them. If I hadn't been able to get the 16G, rather than getting the 32 for $299 I would have got the Lenovo for $369 (which isn't even on sale and I feel there is a catch with it somehow). The extra $70 would have been worth getting Android. The 16G at 199 isn't as sweet of a deal as the HP Touchpad was but it is definitely a good price for the Playbook now especially for what I primarily bought it for which was an ebook reader and web browser
I am surprised there has been nothing on slazhdot about the fact that rim has started selling their playbooks starting at 199 for the 16G. I picked one up and as a basic web browser and ebook reader and movies (although it doesn't support mkv) It's definitely worth that price. However the original for 500 it definitely isn't. Now someone needs to hack android onto it:)
Teksavvy has usage based billing but the difference between them and Rogers/Bell is that their cap is reasonable (300G vs 95G), they don't throttle, and their cost is $10 cheaper. If you go for the same price, you get unlimited.
Thanks for your comment, it is a good description of what my wife has been realizing for the last 5 years as she has been educating herself on this issue for a long time. Getting diagnosed with cancer is a horrible thing to happen to anyone but just as bad is getting a false positive and the emotional and physical damage that occurs. This happens more often than people realize. A really good book to read is: Should I be Tested for Cancer: http://www.amazon.com/Should-Be-Tested-Cancer-Maybe/dp/0520248368/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320095200&sr=8-1
That happened to my second cousin's wife. She was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer and went through Chemo and Radiation. The latter burned up her bowel and spent the next year in bed dying painfully and drugged up. If she hadn't done it, she may have lived a couple more years.
Just waiting for the app that basically figures out who lives at what house and what crimes they have against them. All of this is public accessible. You can find out for sure the last big blowup your next door neighbor had who got charged with a domestic and if it stuck.
Whole lot cheaper if your time is worth nothing. I have spent maybe a total of 20 minutes getting my NAS set up. I would rather spend my time doing other things than configuring a server.
Totally agree. I originally picked up a Seagate BlackArmor 400 as the price seemed good. It sucked. Performance was crap, took 12 hours to build the array and ended up bricking after the latest firmware update. Took it back (this was only a day or two after buying it) and got a Synology DS411 which blew me away. I am getting 50MB up and 100MB down on a single nic. I could have built my own but decided I didn't want another computer I have to manage. I wanted something relatively turnkey.
Yep and they even admitted that. That was one of the big complaints of Vista is that everything was slow so now they give you dribs and drabs to make you think it is faster
Umm... you understand what a majority government is right? If Harper says to pass it, it will get passed. It was one of their platforms for the election.
And none of this was a surprise. The Tories were completely open about the Omnibus bill which this contains. You know we are under extreme assault by terrorists and pedophiles. And pretty much there is nothing anyone can do since they have a majority. Sure you can contact your MP and all they will do is tow the line about how it is keeping us safe, blah blah blah.
Did anyone actually see this Halo but not through the webcam? If not then this artifact has as much credibility of being anything as the "orbs" on Ghost Hunters are evidence of the dearly departed
I find the shuttle bigger than I thought. I realized that when I saw Enterprise at Air and Space museum at Dulles. Also realized how small the Enola Gay really is. Seemed bigger in pictures possibly because of the enormity of what it had done.

My 6 month old Atix has it, it's also old enough that I got it "free" for a contract renewal

The DNS is notoriously slow. One of the reasons I discarded them before I decided to go with a 4 bay rather than 2 bay

Interestingly we have a hammer, an 18lb sledge just in case we get invaded and need to dispose of them fast

It was entertaining but the funny thing is the I knew the two girls with the guy taking a leak in high school. Small world.
They wouldn't have lost the files when they were taken.
Badum-bump
I'm here all week, have the steak!

I agree with what you are saying but you forgot :
3) The instigators intent from the beginning even before the game started was to start a riot.
I find the shuttle bigger than I thought. I realized that when I saw Enterprise at Air and Space museum at Dulles. Also realized how small the Enola Gay really is. Seemed bigger in pictures possibly because of the enormity of what it had done.
That plus I have issue believing it would be the end of the world if they couldn't even predict their own demise.
Experts know about the route command in Windows.
Except that any decent wireless sniffer will find:
1. Your wireless network
2. Any MAC address that is on #1 making a whitelist irrelevant.
However with that in mind most people would just move onto your next door neighbor who is still running default settings on their 8 year old router.
